7 Writing Apps To Help You Stay Organized In School

Writing is very difficult to do, especially when there is so much going on around you. It can be difficult to stay focused on the task at hand, which then puts you further behind in your daily activities. I know that I always had that problem in school. You had so many things to do but you got distracted while doing them so you never were able to finish the tasks. I always fell really far behind and then had to rush through everything at the last minute.

I have found some writing apps to help you stay organized when everything gets difficult. These apps are more for organization purposes than for distractions. But I found that the more I stayed organized, the less distracted I got while doing my work. These apps are all really easy to use, so you shouldn’t really have much of an issue with the functions of the apps. The uses of each app are fairly straightforward, too, so you shouldn’t have an issue with that, either. If you like using one app more than the others, just use that one app. I used a combination of apps to help me keep focused, but you might be able to stick with it using just one app. I hope you find the apps as useful to your needs as I found them.

1. Milanote

This app allows you to turn your ideas into visual boards. The app allows you to write notes and to-do lists, upload images and files, and save pictures and websites directly to the app. All of this helps you keep track of what you’re writing about. Being able to see what you want to write helps you to write about it without getting distracted. That makes it easier to write and keep up with what you’re doing. This is more designed for writing stories than it is essays, but it is always useful to visualize what you are writing as you are writing it, which is exactly what this app allows you to do.

2. LibreOffice

This is a free word processor for people who want something similar to Word without it being Word. You can do all sorts of editing with this processor. You can create a memo or write a book with this app. You can use this on a variety of file types, so you can edit virtually anything. It helps you step by step with the writing process, too, which is useful for people who don’t know the process or if they are confused by the writing process. It can be intimidating when you look at it all at once instead of step by step.

3. Scribus

This is one of the writing apps to help you stay organized if you want to create pictures for your projects. It is easier than Adobe InDesign, and it’s free, which is always good. It helps you create layouts for whatever you are currently working on. It is an open-source platform that allows you to create a professional-looking layout, which makes your work even better than it was originally. It can be a little confusing when you first start using it, but it is certainly easier to figure out than some other design websites are. That makes this an ideal tool when you need to create some pictures for your work.

4. FocusWriter

This is perfect for when you’re writing the first draft of your essay or your story. It puts your writing screen in a distraction-free zone. It blocks out the clutter of your desktop so you can just focus on your writing. It doesn’t help much when you’ve already written the first draft and you’re trying to do some intense editing. You still might want to be on other websites, but you won’t see them on your screen, so it cuts out the easy ability to switch websites. It is easy to use and it is really helpful when you are on a deadline and you can’t afford to be distracted.

5. Evernote

This app is useful to write down your notes and writing creative ideas in a variety of areas. You can create to-do lists and checklists fairly easily using this app. You can also use it to write some more complicated notes. It also allows you to insert pictures into your notes, though that takes up a lot more free space. The free part of the app is limited, so if you’re going to insert pictures, you might want to upgrade and pay for more space. You can also use this for business and track receipts and other expenses instead of just writing with this app.

6. Diaro

This is one of the writing apps to help you stay organized and is an advanced way to keep a diary or just to write notes if you want. It is really easy to use this app and keep things organized. Use this app to help you keep your thoughts very well documented and you can insert pictures and locations to each note. You can also upload each note you create to social media for the easy ability to share your updates with all of your friends. You can also make this diary completely private with password protection if you don’t want anyone to have access to your thoughts and notes.

7. Todoist

This is a task management application that can help you create to-do lists and custom schedules to help you prioritize and keep you working effectively. You can create recurring tasks to help you keep a strict schedule, or you can make tasks that you only have to do once. You won’t have to worry about forgetting about a task again using this app. It will help you keep everything organized in a way no other app I’ve mentioned can. This is perfect if you have problems keeping to a schedule or if you forget about important tasks a lot.

Writing can be difficult to stick with, especially when you have a lot going on around you. These are just some of the apps I found helpful when I used them. If you have other apps that you thought were useful, please leave them in the comments below and I will check them out.
