Whoever said that women can’t dominate industry is proved wrong. Not only are women capable of dominating any industry they choose, but they can also do so at a young age. From starting a beauty empire, dancing, modeling, snowboarding, acting, and being on YouTube, women under 20 have made a name for themselves. The 6 women influencers in this list, have proved their capability and have broken the glass ceiling that society has placed on us. These individuals show that it isn’t impossible for women to succeed in a world that is made up of male-dominating positions.

1. Kylie Jenner – Makeup

At the young age of 20 years old, Ms. Kylie Jenner has already built and established her near-billion dollar empire. In less than 3 years, Kylie Cosmetics is now worth $900 million. Forbes predicts that if her empire keeps growing at this rate, she will be the youngest billionaire ever. She is estimated to make her first billion by next year. Topping Mark Zuckerberg who made his first billion at 23. If this success isn’t dominating the makeup industry, I don’t know what is.

2. Maddie Ziegler – Dancing

Maddie Ziegler is another person who has a clear drive and passion in her field. Getting her big break from the reality TV show, Dance Moms, this has kick started her career. As a 15 year old, she has not only starred in reality TV shows, but she made her big screen debut in the 2017’s The Book of Henry. She started her path with her love of dance, and as her career progressed she realized her new found love of acting. Concurrently with her acting, she continues dancing on tour as Sia’s spirited alter-ego.

3. Kaia Gerber – Modeling

Clearly getting her gorgeous genes from her supermodel mom, Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber, has graced several covers of magazines and runways. At the young age of 14 she was on the cover of Vogue Paris with her mom. Now, age 16, she has grew her career and name, and have been part of campaigns with A-list brands, such as Versace, Alexander Wang, and Omega. This past fashion week, Gerber was one of the most sought after runway model, walking in several shows.

4. Chloe Kim – Snowboarding

Two gold Olympic medals and an acceptance letter from Princeton University, Chloe Kim has made a name for herself. She won 2 gold medals in the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, and she became the youngest women to win in the women’s snowboard halfpipe at the age of 17. Now 18, she is considering college, as she tweeted  “Guess I’ll be doing this college thing soon 🤔😂” right after posting that she has been accepted at Princeton. Chloe Kim has the whole world at her fingertips, she has accomplished more than most people can ever dream of doing.

5. Yara Shahidi – Acting

18 year old Actor, Yara Shahidi is accomplished as an actor and as a student. She starred in the TV show Black-ish, and that show did so well, that she stars in its series spin off Grown-ish. As her own-screen character, Zoey,  was debating college options, in real life she was doing so as well. She has decided that she will be attending Harvard, double majoring in sociology and African-American studies after Grown-ish wraps up. From her academic grades, her acting successes, and a recommendation letter from Michelle Obama, she will be attending Harvard University this fall. She is one of the greatest women influencers.

6. Olivia Jade – YouTube

Being a YouTuber was not an option a decade ago, but now, it is an actual career that some people can be successful in. Olivia Jade, the daughter of Lori Loughlin who starred in Full House, has dedicated her career to be a YouTuber. At the age of 18, she has accumulated more than 1.5 million subscribers to date. She was also featured as one of People Magazine’s “Ones to Watch” rising star. She has made being a YouTuber a feasible career option for herself, and is currently thriving in this field. She is one of the best women influencers.
