Fashion Week provides a huge insight into what’s going to be popular during each of the four seasons (fall, winter, spring, and summer) in terms of clothing, shoes, accessories, hairstyle, and makeup, to name a few aspects.

In terms of the makeup for Winter Beauty Looks, various Fashion Week Designers had the makeup for their models feature the classics and several creative, new and artistic trends as well.

1. Red Lips:

Red Lips are not just a winter beauty that’ll take over the makeup world this year. It’s among the classics for makeup and will never go out of style, no matter what season it currently is. This look (beyond just winter beauty looks) displays both simplicity and elegance.

Red Lips work well with minimal/low key makeup. For winter beauty looks, vibrant and bright red; and deep and dark reds were among the most popular shades of red lipstick to use.

2. The Disco Look:

The glam that the 1970s produced will an aspect from that era that will never be forgotten. During Fashion Week, we were witnessing a glitter renaissance. Seeing how makeup artists for various designers decided to go with lots of glitter for the makeup, the disco look will be “in” for winter beauty looks.

Notable highlights of this winter beauty look at Fashion Week included the striking shades that Rodarte used; the subtle yet shiny display of gold glitter over the eyes at Cividini; and all of the models walking for Halpern had their eyelids covered in gold eyeshadow for a more, pure couture look (and to go along with the 1970s club vibes as well). The most memorable one was Michael Kors going full disco and 1970s for his collection, which included lots of bright colors and glitter for both the clothing items and makeup looks.

3. Smokey Eye:

A smokey eye is good for any type of occasion and/or season. There are so many different colors you can choose from as you are creating this look. However, for winter beauty looks, a black smokey eye will do just fine. Black Smokey Eye is classic chic yet trendy and sexy at the same time. This winter beauty look goes well with minimal makeup and red lips.

4. Statement Eyebrows:

This winter beauty look is all about being brave and adventurous with your eyebrows! Statement Eyebrows were among the biggest trends to emerge from Fashion Week.  

This winter beauty look had well-known high fashion designers have their models’ eyebrows either bleached, dyed, bold, and/or razored off completely. For example, Prada opted to bleach all of the models’ eyebrows in order to match the theme of its runway collection, which was “Dark Romance”.

5. Glossy Lips:

This is another one of several classics makeup looks to make this list that is perfect at any time of the year! Glossy Lips make fantastic winter beauty looks as one’s lips will be looking shiny, lush, and moisturized. This makeup trend is simple yet sexy at the same time. 

To perfect this winter beauty look, try it with a smokey eye and dewy skin. Shades of peach, pink, and/or any light colors will do.

6. Blushing:

This is one of the most youthful winter beauty makeup trends from Fashion Week! Models walking in The Chanel Fashion Show sported this look with neutral pink blush was applied high on the apples of their cheeks, which was really close to the nose, making it appear like a natural flush.

Soft shades of pink blush are the best colors to try with this trend. They will brighten up the complexion and soften one’s face. Pair this winter beauty look with  light colors of glossy lipstick.

7. Smudges of Black:

One can never go wrong with black makeup products! This messy (yes, it’s intended to appear so) look can be done in two different styles: Heavy looking eye wings; and/or completely black smudge eyelids. Both of these winter beauty looks for this trend were huge knockouts on the runways throughout Fashion Week. Smudges of Black Eye Makeup are suitable for those were are bold and risk takers when it comes to fashion/style. 

8. Dewy Skin:

As a result of the cold winds and lack of moisture in the air, any woman’s skin will become very dry and/or dull during the winter months. Dewy Skin is one of several winter beauty looks that’ll show off one’s natural beauty. In addition, dewy skin with minimal makeup highlights beautifully, shiny, and hydrated skin. This Winter Beauty Trend comes off as chic with any clothing items you wear.

9. Pink Eyeshadow:

One of the most used eyeshadow colors on display during Fashion Week was light shades of pink. It goes best with blush and nude or light lips. This was evident with the makeup looks for The Veronica Beard show, which produced a whole meaning to the phrase “Pretty in Pink”.

10. Purple Eyeshadow:

Like pink eyeshadow (See #9 above), soft shades of purple eyeshadow were also a common eyeshadow color seen on the runways during Fashion Week. For winter beauty looks, wearing purple eyeshadow gives off sweet and girly vibes. 

The soft lavender eyeshadow at Valentino was a perfect fit for the flowy tulle dress. While the Tomo Koizumi Show featured several different makeup looks, the light yet shimmery purple eye was the most catchy.

11. Voluminous Lashes:

Besides eye makeup, lashes were another area around the eyes that gained a lot of attention this runway season. Several designers had their models sporting cluster lashes and/or many layers of mascara, which added unique colors and shapes. False lashes were featured as well, but not as much compared to the former two.
