10 Wine Cooler Cocktails You’ll Want To Make This Summer
As I’m sure many of you are already aware, wine coolers (or perhaps rather malt coolers) have taken a drastic spike in popularity and in quality of late – a favorite of white girls and frat dudes alike, and surely you’ll like them too if you were to simply give them a little go! Then once you have, you can pizzazz them up by making them into these 10 delicious wine cooler cocktails! They’re tasty and unique, not to mention refreshing and cooling – perfect for whatever the heat of summer throws at you!
1. Smirnoff Ice Shandy
Here’s a refreshing addition to our wine cooler cocktails! The Smirnoff Ice Shandy is awesome for those who love that shandy life. All you need is a light lager (the recipe recommends Guinness blonde, though I’m sure any old beer would be fine), Smirnoff Ice original, and fresh lemon juice.

2. Twisted Arnold Palmer
Granted, maybe you don’t need this addition to the wine cooler cocktails. Maybe you’re fine settling for the Twisted Tea half and half (half lemonade presumably), however, I find it to be a bit subpar. It’s a little too sweet and not as zesty and lemony as it could be. Yet, the original Twisted Tea is pretty damn good, so the half and half is kind of a letdown to the brand. To this end, I would like to include a recipe to make a Twisted Tea Arnold Palmer the right way! To do it, you’ll need these ingredients:
Original Twisted Tea
2 tablespoons of vodka
Lemonade (your favorite brand)
1 lemon, halved
Crushed ice
Directions:
Simply throw the ice, lemonade, vodka and Twisted Tea into a glass (a mason glass if you want to be classy).
Squeeze in the juice of half of a lemon, mix, and add half of the other half of the lemon for garnish.
Serve and enjoy!
Note: if you want a really unique Twisted Arnold Palmer, replace the lemonade with a Lemonade Truly hard seltzer to make your cocktail extra zesty and crisp!
3. Spiked Seltzer Mermaid Paloma
A wine cooler cocktails addition that’s as elegant as it sounds: the Spiked Seltzer Mermaid Paloma. It uses the butterfly pea flower from southeast Asia, which acts as an organic food coloring and gives the drink and ice cubes it’s decadent shade of purplish-blue – making it the perfect summer cocktail. For spiked seltzer, I recommend using grapefruit-flavored Bon & Viv.

4. Black Cherry Limeade
This Black Cherry Limeade is delicious and well balanced – the hard seltzer balances out the nearly overwhelming sweetness of the limeade and the black cherry flavoring adds a great flavor to the whole shebang. To make it you’ll need these ingredients:
Maraschino cherries
Lime
Limeade
Truly hard seltzer, black cherry flavor
Directions:
My personal recommendation: original black cherry if you want something lighter and crisper, black cherry lemonade for a sweeter and more sour taste.
With ice, simply fill 2/3 of a glass with Truly, 1/4 limeade, the juice from half of a lime, and a splash of juice from the maraschino cherries.
Add a lime wedge and some maraschino cherries for garnish and serve!
5. Truly Mule
This addition to our wine cooler cocktails is something you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on! It’s dangerously delicious, coming at you with refreshing Truly mixed berry flavored hard seltzer, as well as a good quality vodka, all mixed up with some happy ginger and pomegranate to top it all off! Also good with a squeeze of lime juice!

6. Hard Seltzer Mojito
Here’s a refreshing twist on the mojito. It’ll take a bit of muddling but the delectable result will be well worth the minuscule amount of effort! You’re going to need the following ingredients:
2 tablespoons of sugar
10 fresh mint leaves
Truly, White Claw, or Bon & Viv lime-flavored hard seltzer
1/2 lime, quartered
Crushed ice
Directions:
Muddle the mint and a lime wedge well. Add sugar and two more lime wedges and muddle again.
Toss the remaining skin of the lime wedges and pour rum over the mixture.
Fill remaining space in the glass with lime-flavored seltzer and crushed ice.
Stir and serve!

It’s filthy in a good way – you’ll get a great buzz going, and you’ll be one step closer so having to get a root canal! It’s a dangerously delicious take on a classic root beer float that you definitely won’t regret giving a try, especially if you’ve got a serious sweet tooth. You’ll only need a few ingredients:
Alcoholic Root Beer (Not Your Fathers Room Beer or Coney Island for example)
3 tablespoons of root beer float flavored Smirnoff

3 tablespoons of dark rum
