Why You Should Go To Paint Nite At Least Once In Your Life

Whether you are the artsy type or not, there are certain experiences you should be able to cross off your bucket list. For the longest time I didn’t understand why all of my friends were going to Paint Nite until I finally gave it a chance and had the time of my life. Here are a few reasons why you should go to Paint Nite at least once in your life.

1. You See What The Hype Is

If your Instagram feed is anything like mine, there are weekends where it seems like everyone is painting. This period of time may have already passed for your circle of friends but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give Paint Nite a chance! The best way to decide if something is worthwhile or not is to actually attend the event. You may even get a few Instagram-worthy shots of the venue or the professional artist you’re working with!

2. It’s Something New

Maybe you were never involved in the arts and have never found a window to enter into that sphere, well here’s your chance! With trained professionals, you will be able to follow along with the tutorial and may discover a new talent. Although I cannot guarantee that your paintings will come out perfect, I do know that Paint Nite is a chance to discover different parts of yourself. It is also a chance to reintroduce those skills into your brain. Maybe you haven’t painted in years and want to see if you still have a knack for it, that’s something new too!

3. A Simple Group Activity

Going out with large groups, or groups in general, can be an incredibly taxing experience. Deciding where to go, what to do, and how much everything is going to cost adds up quickly. The great thing about Paint Nite is that their prices are clearly listed on the website with locations near you and sometimes you can even find offers on Groupon! Anything that makes getting together with your favorite folks easier is a plus in my book.

4. It’s Full Of People

Most of the Paint Nite events take place in restaurants/bar friendly areas where a lot of people congregate anyway. You should attend Paint Nite at least once because you will meet people with the same goals in mind! They are trying to get through the same painting you are, and you might even be able to exchange tips.

5. You Can Grab A Drink

Aside from the painting in general, Paint Nite also gives you a chance to indulge in some alcoholic beverages. Ever wonder what it would be like to paint a sunset after a few tequila sunrises? Then this is the place for you! Try your best to not spill any alcohol on your nifty Paint Nite aprons in the process.

6. Channel Your Inner Bob Ross

Who would pass up the opportunity to paint some happy little trees? If you don’t happen to have a canvas or phthalo blue hanging around at your house, Paint Nite is the opportunity to put those brushstrokes to the test. Paint Nite gives you a chance to step out of your daily routine and unwind with painting a beautiful picture. Whether this is something you do on a monthly basis is completely up to you, but it is definitely something everyone should experience at least once in their life. Bob will be proud of your painting no matter how it turns out!
