Well high school is over, now what? As many of us begin to take on our various paths whether it be college, a job, world traveler, gap year, etc., we find ourselves searching for our passions. Whether we like to admit it or not, we are still little nervous and unsure. We have yet to experience the world and have countless upcoming journeys that will make us into better versions of ourselves. Let’s face it, most of us do not have a definite plan once we graduate high school and here’s the top three reasons why that is perfectly okay.
Life after high school is where you get your chance to broaden your horizons. Be open to trying new things cause who knows, maybe taking that class you didn’t want to take will turn into your future passion. Join that club, put yourself out there, and do not be afraid to step out of the comfort zone that has harbored you the past 18 years.
No plan? No problem. Regimentation and routines put people in boring cycles anyways. Be a yes man, and don’t worry about the consequences until they happen.
At this point, a lot of us still want to improve certain things about ourselves. Whether it’s a new hairstyle or totally revamping your academic habits, this is your chance to be the person you’ve always envisioned to be, even if you’re not actually sure who that is yet.
Not knowing what you want to be doing right now is perfectly fine, it helps you grow and try things you never thought you would. There is no rush to figure it out, the upcoming years are going to fly by and you do not want to look back at them and regret how you spent them. Work hard play hard, and one day you will end up exactly where you belong. It is only a matter of time.
