Who Is Going To Be The Next Bachelorette? Here’s Our Theory

mm
When it comes to hometown dates, usually we have a pretty good idea who is going to be the next bachelorette. However, in the past few years Chris Harrison has threw us some curve balls. Now we are stuck wondering, who's the next contestant in the running?

As hometown dates come to a close and the women tell all episode approaches, we are all left wondering – who is going to be the next Bachelorette? Traditionally this announcement has been made at the women tell all, and is typically someone chosen from a prior season. However, ABC has been known to throw us some curve balls. A good example of this is, well… Arie. The current bachelor was picked from season 8, and to put that into perspective we are on season 22. Nick Viall is another example, as the former bachelor was on the show twice making it to the final two (both ending in unsuccessful relationships). But despite his lack of success and controversial views from America, even Nick was given another shot at love. Which is why we have to wonder, is the show going to throw us a curve ball this time?

Let’s Take A Look Historically…

To start off, The Bachelorette has not been around for nearly as long as The Bachelor. The upcoming seasons title holder will be the (un)lucky 13th contestant of the show. This in comparison to the 22 Bachelors we’ve already had. Therefore, maybe ABC won’t be as daring as they are with The Bachelor, due to the The Bachelorette’s lack of establishment.

However, judging off of seasons past, ABC has traditionally announced the upcoming Bachelorette at or around the time of the Women Tell All. In fact, I’d say the most risky ABC has gotten with The Bachelorette is with season 10, the season of Kaitlyn Bristowe. First off, Kaitlyn was very controversial in the eyes of America, and the first episode of the season wasn’t even to herself. For the first time ever, ABC paired Kaitlyn with another Bachelorette, Britt Nilsson, where the bachelors decided who they wanted to stay.

So, Who is going to be the next Bachelorette?

Judging off of this stage in The Bachelor game, if ABC decides to play it safe and choose some Bachelorette’s from Arie’s season I believe they would choose..

1) Tia Booth

Tia is an obvious guess, and is one that a lot of people are leaning towards. The Bachelor contestant was most recently sent home after her hometown date with Arie, and was absolutely devastated by his decision. However she’s level headed, outspoken and is liked by most of America.

2) Bekah Martinez

Bekah may be young, but when wondering who is going to be the next Bachelorette, the now 23 year old definitely has a more level head on her shoulders then most! Although her age made fans question whether she was ready for love or not, her vivacious energy and sense of humor was one we wouldn’t mind seeing again!

3) Chelsea Roy

Chelsea began the season with an interesting start. Originally Chelsea had been depicted as the villain, talking negatively about the other girls in the house. However, the more we got to know her, the more we fell in love with her! Chelsea is definitely ready to find love, and we are ready to watch her do it!

However, If ABC’s feeling daring I believe these prior contestants have a strong chance:

1) Amanda Stanton

After a heartbreaking goodbye with Bachelor Ben Higgins, Amanda continued her journey to find love in Paradise… not once, but twice, and was left heartbroken both times. After a failed engagement, and another bad ending relationship, Amanda deserves a shot at love as The Bachelorette, don’t you think?

2) Lesley Murphy

Originating from Sean’s season of The Bachelor, Lesley left as the fifth runner-up in the show and was of course – heartbroken. Lesley was a fan favorite and has recently made her return to The Bachelor world in the run-off series: The Bachelor Winter Games. Lesley is also admired in the series, and we could easily see her as the next Bachelorette!

3) Kristina Shulman

After an unexpected break-up with Nick Viall, Kristina set off to Paradise to find love. However, Dean did her dirty and she’s back to being single. The tragic relationship between her and Dean had fans feeling for Kristina, which is why we could see her as the next Bachelorette!
