Where to Spot Celebrities in LA

Celebrities in California are actually quite easy to spot if you know where to look. If you’re a resident of California you’re most likely not going to go crazy when you see a celebrity because you’ve seen them plenty of times before. If you’re not from California and just visiting, may I recommend going to these 4 places in LA.

1. The Grove

The Grove is a shopping mall and entertainment complex located in some parts of the farmers market in LA, it has much to offer when it comes to shopping, eating, or even something to do. What makes this mall so special from the rest is the open air environment and stylish energy. One of the many reasons you can spot a celebrity at the grove is because of its amazing array of food and dining experiences, they have a long list of top notch and modern restaurants some of which being: The Cheesecake Factory, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill, and even La Pizza just to name a few. The fun doesn’t stop there though, after dining you have the amazing offer to shop at luxury retail stores such as: Nordstrom, October’s Very Own (OVO), Ray Ban, J Crew, and tons more.

You would think it couldn’t get better from here but it does! The mall also has an AMC Theater that plays the most recent movies as well as old movies. Another one of the main reasons you can spot a celebrity here is because of the many events they hold from celebrity pop up shops all the way down to meet and greets. But that’s not all, there are plenty of family friendly events as well. Along with all these great places you have spectacular amenities such as: A Concierge, valet parking, car wash, and plenty of family amenities.

2. Beverly Hills

Another place you can spot celebrities is the most iconic neighborhood of them all, Beverly Hills. You’ve seen it in movies, TV shows, Magazines but have you actually been? Beverly Hills since the 1950’s has marketed itself as a luxury fashion paradise for Los Angeles’s elite, most of which live there. Beverly Hills isn’t just home to some of the biggest names but is also home to the most iconic luxury shopping mall Rodeo Drive. Rodeo Drive is one of the world’s most exclusive luxury destinations, and a hub at the intersection. The outdoor shopping center contains luxury stores such as: Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Club Monaco, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and pretty much any other luxury retail store you could think of. SERIOUSLY.

Celebrities all around the world come to shop at this shopping center not just to shop but to experience the life of the guilty rich. The only possible downside to Rodeo Drive wouldn’t just be parking but because the area is crawling with big names you can definitely expect to see some paparazzi. Along with the amazing store you also have the option of dining at the most luxurious restaurants like: 208 Rodeo, South Beverly Grill, Avra, Ocean Prime, and Sushi Kiyono, all of which are 5 stars. Celebrities also like to come to Beverly Hills just to walk around to see the iconic historic buildings that have been standing for decades. Despite what people might think, all types of people from different financial backgrounds come to Beverly Hills to bask in the feeling of luxury and entitlement.

3. Malibu

Malibu is a city west of Los Angeles and It’s best known for its celebrity homes and wide and sandy beaches. Towards the east is Malibu Lagoon State Beach, known as Surf rider Beach for its waves. Not too far is the Spanish Revival style Adamson House, with local history displays at the Malibu Lagoon Museum. Malibu also has trails that weave through canyons, waterfalls and grasslands in the Santa Monica Mountains. Celebrities often buy one or two homes out in Malibu for vacation purposes or for work purposes. Lots of popular movies and TV shows are actually filmed in Malibu, shows like: Stranger Things, Two And A Half Men, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Grease, Us, and my personal favorite The Hills just to name a few.

Malibu also has amazing beach front and on the beach restaurants and cafes. The most famous one that may come to mind is Nobu Malibu. Nobu is known for its exquisite cuisines and signature dish the Tiradito, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, and Black Cod with Miso. It’s also known for serving fancy feasts to A-listers around the globe, including back to back celebrity families such as the Kardashians. If you’re familiar with the Kardashian you know they swear by Nobu Malibu on their recently canceled show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

4. Downtown LA

Downtown is a diverse city with popular smaller areas such as Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and the Art and Fashion District. Downtown also offers renowned art museums, elite status restaurants, hipster bars, and architectural landmarks, such as El Pueblo de Los Ángeles. You can also spot places like the Music Center performing arts complex, Walt Disney Concert Hall, with striking steel architecture designed by Frank Gehry and even the Dodger Stadium. What attracts so many people to Downtown is the life atmosphere and fast paced moving. Not only are there shopping stores at every corner but also restaurants and activities. Downtown is currently home to many new celebrities that we can consider “Influencers” who have moved from their home towns to California for more opportunities. Influencers such as The D’Amelio family, Addison Rae, Noah Beck, and tons more.

DTLA also has lots to offer when it comes to activities such as The Broad Museum, Staple Center, and the Grammy Museum just to name a few. Hungry? Not to worry, DTLA is packed with restaurants, cafes, and bars such as 71Above, Perch, The Palm, and many other 5 star restaurants. For years DTLA has been a favorite place to many as well as a historic landmark because of the history. Fortunately you can see buildings in DTLA that have been standing for decades like the Bradbury Building and Grand Central Market to name a few. Rather you’re visiting or moving, DTLA is definitely the best place to be if you can afford the lifestyle, nonetheless you are guaranteed to see someone famous walking around or eating brunch. It truly is an amazing place.

Have you seen any celebrities lately in Los Angeles? If you have, feel free to comment where you spotted them! They are always moving and expanding their businesses around LA so it shouldn’t be too hard.
