What To Wear To Coachella This Year

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is probably one of the biggest live music festivals of the year. Not only because it has such a great line-up of artists that will be performing, but because it has become somewhat of a fashion show itself. Even for people who don‘t attend Coachella, the pictures of everyone’s outfits never fail to flood Instagram and give us a good show.

People spend months (maybe all year) searching for the perfect outfit to wear to Coachella. If you are also already starting to piece together your own outfits, here is a list of items that will hopefully inspire you on what to wear this Coachella season!

1. Sheer

Being that Coachella is centered in the middle of the desert, you don’t want to be lugging around heavy layers all day. Sheer fabrics are breezy, light, and extremely fashionable. Sheer robes and shirts are an easy addition to any outfit you have already decided to wear this year. The way sheer fabric flows around you will not fail to catch the eye of everyone around you and make you feel like a queen!

2. Crystals

Another easy but beautiful addition to any outfit. Either they are on your face or clothes, crystals are eye-catching and will make anyone look and feel as if they are true royalty at Coachella. Not to mention they are insanely easy to find. Just head to any craft store, get some skin-friendly glue, and start piecing together your look!

3. Graphic Tees

A simple graphic T-shirt may not seem to be Coachella outfit worthy, but paired with some jean-shorts and some sunglasses and you have got yourself a banging look for a music festival. Not to mention T-shirts are comfy, and when you are spending your whole day walking around the large grounds of Coachella, you will want to be comfortable and not pulling and tugging at your outfit all day and night.

4. Animal Print

At first, this outfit idea may seem a bit out there, but Coachella is the place to pull out all the stops and not hold back any ideas if you’re looking to impress the masses. Animal print, any animal print for that matter, is fun and stylish. If this outfit catches your eye, then don’t be afraid to go for it!

5. Pastel Two-Piece Set

Pastels have been making a comeback since the beginning of last year, and as far as I’ve seen they are not going anywhere. Matching sets are easy to pull together and don’t take much time to find. If you are looking for something simple to put together but also want to look and feel your best, try this outfit idea. You will not be disappointed!

6. Bralettes

If you are wanting to show some skin this Coachella season, then I’d highly suggest throwing on a bralette and shorts this year. Bralettes are probably one of the cutest clothing pieces around, and if you have been dying to get that tan this summer then fret no further on what to wear this year.

7. Plaid

Yup, plaid! A simple plaid shirt, tang-top, shorts or pants will instantly become a Coachella worthy outfit. Plaid is one of the stylish prints there is, so don’t fret if that’s all you’re planning to wear during those fun days in the sun at the festival. If you happen to have a matching set, then all the more power to you.

8. Sequins

If you want something flashy and fun this year for Coachella, then sequin is the thing for you. The great thing about Coachella is that it is (usually) extremely sunny. If you choose to wear a bit of sequins, then be prepared to dazzle everyone around you. This is the type of material you will need if you want to stand out among the crowd this year, and the moment the sun’s rays catch your outfit you’ll be as shiny as the sun itself.

8. Glitter

While figuring out your outfit for Coachella is important, deciding on what kind of makeup you want to wear with your outfit is just as essential. We all know that picking your outfits can be stressful and take more time than some would like. And we especially also know that the day of Coachella you will want to take as little time as possible to get ready. You’ve got artists to see, after all! That means that you’ll need a makeup look that will take nearly no time at all, but still be as beautiful as your outfits. Hence, glitter.

The great part about glitter is you can apply it everywhere without looking as if you have made a mess. If you happen to get it on places you didn’t mean it to, just say it’s all apart of your image! No one will ever know. And for me personally, the more glitter everywhere, the better.

9. Bandanas

Not only are bandanas in-style, but you will be doing your face a favor if you choose to wear this accessory. Coachella, as we know, is in the desert. Which means sand, sand, and more sand! It’ll pick up like you wouldn’t believe with all of those people running around and kicking it into the air. So if you are searching for an accessory for your already picked out outfit, then I’d highly suggest one that’ll prevent you from swallowing a fist-full of sand.

10. Clip-in Hair Pieces

For anyone not ready to make the commitment of dying your hair, then adding a few clip-in hair pieces will do wonders for your outfit this Coachella. Especially if they are colored. Did I mention pastels are in? Because they are! Pastel pinks, blues, and purples will never fail to make someone look like a fashionable mermaid. If you do happen to color your hair this year, then more power to you! You’re only young once, after all.
