What To Wear on Summer Vacation

Summer vacation can be family time, friend time, or a time to amp up your Instagram feed. Regardless of your reason for taking a summer vacation, you are going to want to not only look you best but also be comfortable in what you are wearing. Figure out what your plans are for the vacation and plan your outfits accordingly. It will not only make your life easier in the morning but will help to ensure your outfits are on point.

The Beach

A trip to the beach is the ultimate summer vacation destination. The classic beach outfit is a bathing suit with some type of cover-up, whether it be pants, shorts, or a dress. The first outfit is a one-piece bathing suit from ASOS and looks great with these striped pants from Nordstrom Rack. This outfit is great for a morning brunch before heading to the beach or going out to the town at night. The second outfit is suited more for an entire day at the beach. This white swimsuit from Venus is super trendy and throwing a sweater over it makes a great day to night outfit change.

The Mountains

If your summer vacation is located in the mountains, you will want to dress with a little more comfortable and mobility. In a desert location, such as the location of this first outfit, you’ll want to dress for the warmth while also protecting your skin from the sun. This first outfit is great for this. The top is from lululemon, but you can find a similar version for cheaper somewhere else if that is more your style. Any simple pair of black leggings will do, but this particular pair is from Target’s champion line. The second outfit is more for a mountain summer vacation in the North where it gets chilly. A simple chambray shirt works great as a light jacket, and these bike shorts from Gap are both trendy and great for chafing relief.

The Amusement Park

A trip to the amusement park calls for comfy clothes with pockets to hold your phone and keys in. You will definitely want to invest in a pair of jeans shorts, and these are from Abercrombie and Fitch. The first outfit calls for these shorts and a cute tank top from Urban Outfitters. This is something you would wear if you were on a date and wanted to impress someone, or if you just like to dress up often. The second outfit is something a little more relaxed with a simple Coca-Cola t-shirt tucked into a pair of jean shorts. Of course, you will always need a pair of sunglasses to get you through the day.

Disney World

Your summer vacation is Disney provides a lot of photo ops so it’s important to make sure your outfit is on point. The first outfit is a Mickey and Minnie tee you can find at Kohl’s but any Disney tee would work for this particular outfit. Pairing it with a short romper that allows for the design to be seen over the bib makes this outfit trendy enough to be photographed with the background of Cinderella’s castle. The second outfit is more traditional, pairing a gray Mickey t-short from Walmart with white shorts. Make sure you have your ears, too!

A Cruise

For a cruise, you will want to dress slightly better than if you were at the beach because there is always a dinner, a show, or an event at the bar to attend, but you will also want to dress summery and cute. The first outfit is perfect for dinner on the ship and features a bell sleeve white blouse and striped pants. The second outfit is better for a day of cruising through the ocean or exploring the island. You can wear any swimsuit you feel comfortable with and cover up with this dress from Lulu’s. Your outfit can be topped off with this summery hat, plus it will protect your face from harmful island rays.
