What To Do Around Arizona State University When You’re Broke AF

1. Relax at Civic Space Park
Laying around the park looking at the view with friends, as well as complimentary events put on by ASU and Phoenix, will never cost a cent.
2. Hike South Mountain
Really close to campus is South Mountain, where you can have a hike up the two and a half mile long Holbert Trail. You can even have a guided hike by park rangers absolutely free of cost.
3. Take a trip to Tempe Beach Park
In downtown Tempe right near campus is the Tempe Beach Park, where you can often catch great festivals, concerts, or runs that take place at the lake nearby.
4. Hike the Hayden Butte Preserve
Another short hike practically on the Arizona State University Tempe campus, near the Sun Devil Stadium.
5. Visit St.Mary’s Basilica
Easily one of the nicest sights around downtown Phoenix and is very historic.
6. Kiwanis Park
Great to walk around, see the lake and the animals that are usually around.
7. Wells Fargo History Museum
One of the many museums that you can check out around downtown Phoenix. It is free and you get to learn all about the history of your surroundings!
8. Visit the Arizona State University Arboretum
Tucked right behind the Wells Fargo Arena on the Tempe campus, the Arboretum is a small but beautiful natural wonder.
9. Take a walk in the Japanese Friendship Garden
Near the downtown Phoenix campus, the Japanese friendship garden is a tranquil and very relaxing place for those who need to get away.
10. Adventure through Papago Park
Located in Tempe, this is a great and scenic place to either bike or hike through.
