Don’t know how to cook? Then it’s a great day to be you because you came to the right place. Am I a cook? No, far from it, but in the past few years I’ve learned how to survive with the bare minimum of cooking skills. This list is for people that are clueless, and don’t really want to learn how to cook. In this article we will be going over easy meals to make that are also pretty hard to screw up at the same time. Like I stated earlier I’m not a cook by any means, so if I can do it you can too.
First up, and you can make different variants of this meal, but chicken breasts. “But that’s not even a meal”. Not by itself, but you just take chicken and put it in anything it’s going to be pretty good. Especially if you cook and season it correctly. My method of making a chicken breast is pretty straight forward. If I know that’s what I’m going to be eating for dinner I start thawing out the chicken breast before I leave for my afternoon classes. I goto class, then go to the library or the gym and when I come back the chicken is thawed out. From this point I’ll grab a bag of frozen vegetables from my freezer and put that in a bowl of warm water. I also grab two frying pans and put them on the burners and set those to just over medium heat to start preheating before I put my food on them. I also spray the pans with cooking spray, or with olive oil. You want them lubed up.
Now you have just about everything ready and you can start cooking. I put the vegetables that I let sit in warm water for about 15 mins on first. They’re going to take longer to cook because they weren’t thawed out. Next I cut my chicken breast into bite sized pieces. I try to make them all about the same size. I cut my chicken for two reasons. One it cooks faster, two I like eating it out of a bowl and you can’t put a full chicken breast in a bowl. Right before you put the chicken on throw some seasoning on it. Really whatever you got works, salt, pepper, or anything you got that seems like it goes on meats. Once seasoned start cooking your chicken by putting it on the pan. I cook my chicken for 7-9 minutes. Shortly after I take my vegetables off and that’s my dinner.
Another thing I like making with chicken is quesadillas. I cook the chicken the exact same way as before and when it’s done I put it in a tortilla layered with shredded cheese. I put that in a frying pan for a minute on each side. Boom chicken quesadilla.
You can also take the first dinner and make some rice with it and you cook everything, mix it together and you have stir fry. For that I like getting the orange chicken sauce from the store and putting that on it.
Another really solid item to cook, that’s really easy to make, scrambled eggs. A staple breakfast item that can be made in less than ten minutes. Put a fry pan on medium heat before you start. One way you can tell if your pan is hot enough before putting your eggs on is throwing some water on it. If it sizzles it’s hot enough. Next, take two eggs out of your carton. Break them gently and put the yolk into a bowl. Put a cap full of milk into the bowl with the yolks and then stir it until it’s all yellow and you can’t resemble any yolk anymore. Put the contents of the bowl into the pan.
Now, if there’s a part you can really screw up this would be it. Eggs cook quickly so you want to be paying attention while the eggs are cooking. Personally I put some toast down while my eggs cook. You want to be stirring your eggs while they cook. As the egg starts to form, constantly keep moving it around with a fork, scramble them SOB’s. When there’s not more liquid and you have what looks like scrambled eggs, there done. Butter your toast and eat breakfast.

Too thin and I don’t really consider it french toast, too thick and you’re risking it being doughy and eggy inside. I personally lean towards a thicker slice of bread, but you could buy a 2 dollar loaf of bread and it would turn out alright.
