Besides London Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week is one of the most memorable events throughout the fashion industry. Every year, there is a numerous amount of new fashion trends that start making a comeback or pushing through the following fashion week.
Let’s see what will make a comeback appearance or start a new set of followers.
Typically, the color black for most people, including me, has always found it to be comforting and easy to style. But now a new shade of colors have crept into the spotlight and now everyone is rocking the nude.
What sets this range of colors apart from the color black is the different shades of nude that are available to wear. The color nude is definitely a color that grabs most people’s attention, and especially if your skin color is a bit tanner or darker, it compliments well.
When you wear those spacey shades, you give alien vibes to people; mystic, intriguing, dark and a bit creepy. You can pull off many looks while wearing these shades, many that will continue to progress over time to be something more.
The progression of trends regarding the shades theme has picked up greatly and its demographic analysis mostly features females between the ages of 14 and 28. As far as the male demographic goes, males are seen wearing glasses but not in the sense of a fashion statement piece.
The splits going down the middle or side of a dress or a skirt is such a common and popular trend. Wearing clothes that have deep cuts going down the leg gives a freedom vibe to the person who is wearing them.
I think the purpose of putting slits on the side or middle is providing a bit of edginess, a little sexiness and the ability to let the person making a choice as to what makes them comfortable in their skin. It’s never too much giving a little more leg room in your clothes – it never hurt anybody!
Nothing is more appealing than a woman who can define the gender roles that are pushed through media in our society. By displaying women rocking suit pants down the runaway just empowers women to continue to defy the odds and the limitations that are set on them.
I think it is badass and puts a different outlook on women wearing clothes that you would normally see men wear. The way that women suits they are styled, produced and structured is different from men suits, but they are equally beautiful.
Women’s suits are constructed to embrace the body, to make something that is so plain become something chicer. Wear bright colors, defy the standards that society has set and conquer.
The biggest trend that has come back, but has been seen as cultural appropriation, is the growing interest in the African culture. There is nothing wrong with liking and enjoying the way of life and learning about the culture of a group of people, but it’s offending when you take someone’s culture and make it into a fashion piece without really understanding the meaning of it.
It is totally fine wanting to embrace a different culture, but it’s another boundary crossed when it’s being taken and marketed without real understanding.
