Do you have one of the weirdest phobias? There are a lot of fear-worthy things out there: spiders, snakes, social interaction… Then there are the things that people fear that just seem funny to the rest of us. This comes from the Greek word penthera which means mother-in-law. I mean, who can blame anyone who fears their mother-in-law?
Anyone who watched Wizard’s of Waverly Place remembers this one very vividly. This is, ironically, the fear of long words.
From the Greek pogon, which means beards. THE FEAR OF BEARDS! How can this even be possible?
Fear of the number thirteen. I guess this could be seen more as a culturally-induced superstition than a fear. Regardless it’s pretty silly.
