Sometimes we just are too lazy to don’t have the time to cook. If you are driving by McDonald’s and you feel the urge to stop for food you may be misled by just how many calories are in each item. You might think that you are being healthy by ordering a salad, however, you would be wrong. If you are trying to cut down on calories, here are the top 15 least healthy foods on the menu not to order.
Nuggets are quite high on the calorie ranking. For a 10-piece they are 440 calories, and for a 20-piece they are 890 calories!
You knew these would be on the list. Unfortunately, a large fry has 510 calories, 24 grams of fat, and 66 grams of carbs!
Again, not surprising as no one has ever said ice cream is good for you, but man does it taste good. So, maybe worth it? The small chocolate shake has 530 calories, 14 grams of fat, and 68 grams of carbs. I do not even want to look at how many grams of sugar are in this, and it is just the small size!
I’ve personally never had one, but I know that people love the Quarter Pounder from Mickey D’s. It has 530 calories, 27 grams of fat, 41 carbs, and lots of sodium. So, best to avoid if you are watching your diet.
Another popular menu item, the Big Mac is coming in at 540 calories, 28 grams of fat, and 46 carbs.
A little higher in calorie count than the Big Mac, the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken sandwich has 570 calories, 23 grams of fat, 64 carbs, and a whole lot of sodium. Not the best thing to be eating frequently.
Coming in at number five is one of their breakfast options. The problem with this option is that they have virtually no nutritional value. These pancakes have 600 calories in the serving of three. They also have 16 grams of fat and 102 grams of carbs. That is a significant amount of your daily value of carbs with minimal protein.
This tasty snack comes with a hefty calorie count. This McFlurry has 630 calories, 22 grams of fat, and 77 carbs. In terms of calories, this is clearly higher than the milkshake, however, if you are looking to cut carbs this is the better option.
Here is where you may have been tricked. Although this is a salad, it is up there with the highest caloric items on the menu. This salad has 690 calories, so you might as well just grab a burger. It also has 45 grams of fat, 39 carbs, and lots of sodium.
700 calories for this chocolatey-cool treat. Why are the least healthy foods always the most delicious?
I’m sure nobody thought this was healthy, but do you know how unhealthy it is exactly? This item has 770 calories, 45 grams of fat, and 42 carbs. Definitely not worth the amount of time you’d have to spend working out to burn all of that off.
This sandwich is one big pile of delicious. But it is also one big pile of calories, 800 of them to be precise!
Ding ding ding, our big winner! The Grand Big Mac is clocking in at 860 calories, which is over half of the calories I am supposed to eat a day. In addition, it has 52 grams of fat which is likely your daily allotment of fat/day. It also has 62 carbs and lots of sodium. Pass!
With all the starch and flour that comes with this dish, it’s no surprise that it comes with a hefty price of 1350 calories. The rest of the breakfast entourages don’t fall too far behind this one, either, calorie-wise. These may be the least healthy foods, but we still love them.
Ding ding ding, our big winner! This one is, unsurprisingly, the most calorie-filled food on the menu. Fried chicken is great, but it’ll run you more calories than you’re probably willing to take. For a 10-piece, it’s 1210 calories and for a 20-piece it’s 2430 calories.
