5 Ways To Style White Jeans
For the longest time, I used to be terrified by the thought of white denim. There were so many do’s and don’ts surrounding the trend that for years I stayed away but it wasn’t until this year that I decided to say f*ck it to all the rules (and the fact that I’m prone to spilling everything) and bought my very first pair of white jeans. Now, if you are anything like I was, it’s time to change because not only has all of the stupid rules of when you can and cannot wear white denim no longer existent, they are so beautiful. Something about slipping into a bright white bottom makes me feel incredibly chic, sexy and oddly more on trend then a regular blue wash denim. So if you are new to the white denim bandwagon like myself, here are five a few ways to style white jeans that will make you want to buy more.
Monochromatic
Ahhh I LOVE this look! Monochromatic any colour gets me in all the feels but monochromatic white is just next level. This look can be easily done for a day out shopping with girlfriends, in class, at work or on a dinner date with that cutie from down the hall. It’s easy, throw on a pair of your favourite white denim and match it with a white top (tucking in a t-shirt works wonders). If you really want to go all out on the monochromatic wave then pair it with white shoes and accessories or stick with neutrals like tan, beige or off white.

Shorts
It is summer time and the weather is getting toasty so it’s only appropriate to throw white denim shorts in the mix of things. Shorts are an easy item to throw on to make a causal ‘fit but what is most difficult with a short is creating a dressier look that can be worn to special occasions, dates or maybe even to your office job internship over the summer. Pair your shorts with any top, a t-shirt, silk cami or blouse of your choice. The key to dressing this look up is throwing a casual blazer or jacket over top. Throw on some heels to dress it up more or a pair of sneakers to casually go around in during the day!

Business Casual
Now is the time when our outfits matter, what we wear defines a first impression and this time in our lives, first impressions matter. Between professors who can write us bomb reference letters, job interviews with scary bosses or even just everyday networking, now is the most important time that first impressions count the most so let’s make a killer impression in a pair of non ripped, tailored white denim by pairing them with a men’s style button up, cute shoes and accessories. The look is laid back but still business professional enough that will make a good statement.

Wide leg
Wide leg pants are tricky no matter what colour they are. Too wide can make even the tallest girl look short and not wide enough, well are they even considered a wide leg anymore? Finding the perfect wide leg fit for your body is important but even more important is what you pair with that wide leg denim. A lot of times people say, if the bottom is baggy then the top has to be tight and while that is true in some cases, it’s not necessarily true for all. Keep in mind that a proper wide leg pant is fitted around the waist and thighs and gets a tad wider from just above the knee down so pairing these with a more cropped, baggier top actually helps to define the waist and will allow the body to appear longer and leaner.

For The Fall
I’m sure we’ve have all heard, ‘you can’t wear white after labour day,’ and that might have stuck with you for years but the good news is, that horrible slogan of unnecessary advice is no longer valid. You can totally wear white jeans after labour day, into the fall and all through the winter if your heart desires. It’s a gorgeous look to pair white jeans with a pea coat and your favourite winter booties but keep in mind for this look, try sticking with a skinnier leg as the added bulk from the coat, boots and warmth aids will need a slenderer bottom.
