Are you regretting your last hair cut or can’t seem to grow your hair past a certain length? Try some of these ways to make your hair grow longer and stronger!
In order to grow your hair, you must feed it right. I recommend taking a multi-vitamin once a day. Key vitamins for hair growth: zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, fish oil, biotin, iron, potassium, and folic acid.
Hair Foods: almonds, avocado, bananas, blueberries, broccoli, carrots, cantaloupe, cucumber, eggs, grapefruit, guavas, kiwi, lemon, lentils, salmon, spinach, strawberries, sunflower seeds, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, walnuts and yellow pepper.
Give yourself a scalp massage for 10-20 minutes a day. Flip your head over and massage with the tips of your nails to stimulate hair growth. It’s a good idea to flip your head in order to allow blood flow to the hair follicles.
Also, try a hot oil scalp massage. All you have to do is heat up some essential oils and rub them into your scalp for about 5 minutes. Then just let it sink in for about 30 minutes to an hour before washing it out.
Essential oils for hair growth: avocado oil, olive oil, castor oil, lavender oil, tea-tree oil, Vitamin E oil, grape-seed oil, rosemary oil, cedar wood oil, lemon oil, eucalyptus oil and peppermint oil.
Get a silk or satin pillow to prevent hair breakage.
Use sulfate-free shampoo as one of the ways to make your hair grow!
Try the No-Poo Method! Stop using shampoo. All shampoo does is strip the natural oils (that you need for hair growth), from your hair and makes it produce either too much oil or not enough. That could be the reason why your hair is dry or not moisturized enough! Some people wash with baking soda and rinse with apple cider vinegar. Personally, I just use conditioner. I have been “No-Poo” for about two months now. It works for me, saves time in the shower, and saves money by not buying shampoo. If you can’t bring yourself to go through the transition, just get a sulfate-free shampoo or one with natural ingredients, so it’s not so harsh on your hair.
Another technique is to condition first, then use shampoo. This is good for people with thick and dry hair.
Drop the dryer! Just let your hair air dry instead. Try not to use heat on your hair, but if you have to then use a heat protectant spray before.
Don’t forget to keep your hair moisturized! Do a hair mask at least three times a week as part of the ways to make your hair grow strong!
Drink lots of water.
Take a deep breath and let the stress go. You can’t grow under pressure and neither can your hair, so relax.
Find an activity to help you de-stress, such as yoga, reading, listening to music, or going on a walk. Whatever works for you is one of the ways to make your hair grow stronger.
Remember to get a good night’s sleep.
Try listening to subliminal messages or binaural beats for hair growth on YouTube as you sleep.
DIY Hair Mask: two eggs, one teaspoon of olive oil, one teaspoon of an essential oil of your choice, tablespoon of honey, and one teaspoon of coconut oil.
Ditch the rubber-band hair ties that cause breakage. Instead, use ribbon hair ties, scrunchies, or telephone cord hair ties that are more gentle on your hair. This is just one of the ways to make your hair grow stronger!
Get a deep conditioner. “Three Minute Miracle” by Aussie, works really well for me and is cheap too.

Finally, always remember to use a leave in conditioner or put some oil at the ends of your hair when it is wet. Also use a wide-toothed comb to brush wet hair.
