12 Ways To Earn Money From Home

When you are between jobs, going to school, or raising a family. It is hard for you to have a nine to five job. Which is why many people have began working from home. It is a great way to make some extra cash, and build up your experience for other jobs when and if you decide to no longer work from home. How ever one of the hardest things about working from home is finding the right job for you. Luckily for you, with this list you will not have to do that research. 

1. VIPKID

If you are a teacher whom is currently out of work. There is a way for you to continue teaching from the comfort of your home. VIPKID is an international learning company that’s based in Beijing and San Francisco that hires individuals from the US and Canada to teach English to Chinese students between the ages of 4 – 12. To become a VIPKID teacher, you must have a Bachelor’s degree. You must also have some experience with children, like teaching, tutoring, summer camp counselor, volunteering, babysitting, coaching, or mentoring. As an ESL teacher with VIPKID you will earn $15-$22 an hour. This is a great way to earn money while continuing to do something you love.

2. VaVa Virtual Assistants

VaVa Virtual Assistants hires part-time workers to perform a wide variety of administrative tasks. You must have one year of experience and be familiar with products like Basecamp, Google Suite, and Slack. Starting pay is $15 per hour. This makes the job perfect for a college students who need to earn money. It is a stepping stone to gaining experience with a company, and makes your resume look impeccable to potential employers. 

3. Rev

Rev hires freelance transcriptionists, closed captioners, and translators. All you need is a reliable computer, headset, and broadband internet. This is the perfect job for someone who simply needs to earn money to get through until your next pay check. Though this job will improve your skills and resume, it is not the type of job that you could survive on. 

4. PhoneBurner

PhoneBurner hires full-time customer support representatives to work-from-home. For this position, you’ll need a distraction-free office space, high-speed internet, a PC or Mac computer, and a high-quality headset. Pay is $17-20 per hour for this position. This is the perfect job for someone who already has customer service experience, who wants to stay home and take care of their family.

5. Unbabel

If you are bilingual then Unbabel is perfect way for you to earn money! All you need to join their community as an editor is an internet connection and a phone or laptop. With your bilingual powers, you’ll edit machine translations so they’re more accurate and native-sounding. There’s plenty of work to go around and payments are made through PayPal. You are required to take a training course before knowing whether or not they are willing to hire you for the job.

6. SpeakWrite

Online transcription company SpeakWrite also hire typist contractors who are legal residents of the US or Canada. The company, which serves legal, government, law enforcement and other private sector clients pays $300 per month on average. Average pay is .005¢- .006¢ per word transcribed. With this one, you need to pass a Federal, State and Local background check. This is perfect for a college student who needs to earn money and learn more about transcription work.

7. 3Play Media

3PlayMedia hires transcriptionists as contractors to transcribe recorded audio. You can take on as many or as few projects as you want, but you need to be able to provide a quick turnaround on transcripts. Pay is $10 to $30 per hour. How much you earn depends on your efficiency. 

8. Italki

Italki brings together native language teachers, with students looking to learn a new language. More than three million students use the platform. You can create a profile on the website, and students can hire you to teach them one-on-one. Handily enough, you can schedule lessons for the times you’re available. You get to set your own prices for lessons. There are a variety of payment options available, including PayPal.

You will need to include a paragraph that says why you are interested in the position, provide your available hours, give your Skype name and how much you hope to earn. Once hired, you will provide one-on-one tutoring online.

12. Crowd Surf

This company seeks to solve media challenges for the deaf, hard of hearing and second language viewers. Candidates for this job will provide transcription and captioning services. Some proofreading skills are required for this role. After creating an account, you will take an assessment and you can set up your payment method by choosing between direct deposit, PayPal, and a paper check. Pay is based on types of jobs and will vary, roughly 10 cents for every 25 seconds of audio you transcribe.

Earning money is always difficult when you have a hectic life. Though having a job is essential to be able to live. There is no quick way to earn money, you must work for it. Hopefully, you have found a job that will help you with your struggle to earn money.
