Tired of campus food? No worries. No matter what your dietary needs are, these five vegan restaurants are local Columbus crowd pleasers. Grab a group of fellow buckeyes and head out there today.

1. Eden Burger

Located conveniently near campus, Eden Burger is a restaurant everyone should visit! Their menu is a spin on classic American fast food, but more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Everything on the menu is vegan and usually locally sourced. After ordering, your food is usually ready within a minute, which makes it great to grab between classes. I recommend the coconut shake and cheese fries!

2. Brassica

Want to impress your friends? Head down to Brassica in the Short North! Brassica is just like Chipotle, but with a Mediterranean twist. For vegans, I recommend the falafel or vegetable bowl. They’re both packed with tons of flavor and it’s impossible to leave feeling hungry!

3. Mikey’s Late Night Slice

Late Night Slice is a Columbus staple! They have four different locations, each within walking distance of campus. For a more #instaworthy shot, I recommend the beautiful Short North store. They offer different flavorful pizzas and cheesy bread to all customers. For vegans, their herb-packed crust is complimentary to the nonchalant flavor of our favorite Daiya mozzarella cheese. Even when the line is long, it’s so worth the wait!

4. Portia’s Café

Vegan, locally sourced, organic, non-gmo and gluten free? Portia’s does it all. I love heading down to grab their spinach artichoke dip. Located off of Indianola, it’s perfect for game days and it’s hard to believe there isn’t any “real” cheese in it.

5. Pattycake Bakery

Ending with something sweet, stop by Pattycake Bakery in Clintonville! It’s hard to believe all f their desserts are vegan and organic.
