10 Unique Gender Reveal Party Ideas For Your Baby

Here are some unique gender reveal party ideas for you and your family! Pregnancy is an incredibly exciting time for a woman, her partner, and their entire family. Perhaps one of the most exciting events of the whole pregnancy period (besides actually giving birth, that is) is finally finding out what gender the baby will be! Here are 10 unique and adorable ideas for gender reveal parties!

1. Put colored powder in the exhaust tank of a vehicle.

Rev up the engine, then POOF!

2. Do it Flash Dance style.

Fill a box with colored streamer, suspend it over the pregnant woman, and let her pull a string that opens the box!

3. Make a papier-mâché  ball from your favorite sport.

Soccer, football, baseball, whichever! Fill it with powder, and use it like a normal ball until it explodes in the colorful powder!

4. Use colored lipstick.

Blind fold the couple and tell one to put on lipstick (pink or blue) and kiss the other. When they take off the blindfolds, the gender will be written all over their faces!  One of our favorite unique gender reveal party ideas that will have everyone joyous with surprise!

5. Bake it into a cake.

My personal favorite (because it’s food). Get a white cake and either dye it blue or pink or put a sweet surprise in the center! Spread white icing all around it so that when you cut into it, VOILA!

6. Use balloons filled with paint.

Get a white tarp or canvas, fill black balloons with colored paint, and let everyone loose at the same time! Or, if you’re good with a bow and arrow, tape up a single balloon and shoot it to reveal the paint inside!

7. Confetti cannons.

A little excitement with confetti!

8. Get explosive with tannerite.

This is for those of you who like to go big or go home! Set out the highly explosive tannerite in an open field and put powder around it. When you shoot the box (from a very far away and safe distance) it’ll set off a massive plume of colored smoke!

9. Make a volcano.

This is a good one to get the kids involved with! Much akin to the baking soda volcano experiment that a lot of kids do for science class, the same can be repeated here, just with a colored element!

10. Go traditional with popping a balloon.

Fill a giant balloon with colored confetti, grab a needle, and POP! A classic, but again these confetti balloons are unique gender reveal party ideas that we love!
