Whether you like meal plans, classy restaurants, or local dives, the USC area has something to offer everyone. Check out this guide for the best tips about eating at USC!
Residential Dining
If you’re dorm living or just not into the whole college cooking fad, then USC residential dining is for you. Meal plans are designated based off of class standing and housing location. While every on campus student is automatically enrolled in the default plan, students are able to upgrade to different plans.

On campus meal plans are a great option for students because of USC’s commitment to providing students with healthy food options. Dining locations include Parkside Restaurant and Grill, Everybody’s Kitchen, and Cafe 84. The three should definitely satisfy those eating at USC. The Spring 2017 change request to upgrade is due on January 14th 2017, so be sure to check out the different upgraded dining options at this link.

Local Dining
If you’re an off campus student or meal plans are not your thing, there are copious local places to check out. Whether you prefer food trucks, local dives, or nicer restaurants, the following are great options for off campus eatery’s.
El Huero
As an SC student, you’ll get used to everyone calling El Huero’s, “Chano’s”. Whether you’re tired after a day full of classes, or are wandering back from Frat Row at 2 AM, a styrofoam box of carne asada, fresh guacamole, salsa, and shredded cheese could never taste better.
Dirt Dog
A game day favorite, Dirt Dog’s famous bacon covered hot dog and side of fries are an imperative part of Trojan game days.
Nature’s Brew
Chilly iced coffee, tasty sandwiches, or freshly baked goods are just a few of the gems found at Nature’s Brew. At this local study spot, students can indulge in yummy treats in their calm environment.
Kazu-Nori Hand Roll Bar
This local restaurant is perfect for that often sushi craving. The quick and efficient sushi spot has cheap hand rolls. Try the 5 hand roll set for only $17.50!
901 Bar & Grill
Last but not least, the Nine-Oh is a must for USC students. With a great nightly drink special and an amazing happy hour the 901 has not only great food, but is also a nice way to wind down during the weekend.
