Wondering How To Have Self Confidence? Here’s Some Tips

Not all of us are blessed with waking up and feeling like a queen. In fact, a lot of us aren’t. It can be hard to see the good in yourself and that can be extremely debilitating for your mental health. Building your self-esteem is an important part of your health and the key to your success. Here are tips and advice on how to have self confidence!

A Life Clear-Out

We all love keeping up-to-date with the Victoria’s Secret Angels but watching 11/10’s be successful and flawless every single day can be incredibly draining. Why not give a massive unfollowing session a go? You might feel less inclined to compare yourself to other women, and of course, it doesn’t have to just be famous models on social media. This could mean removing anybody from your life who makes you feel that bit worse.

No Negative Self-Talk

The abuse that we give ourselves at our lowest moments can be out of this world, and completely undeserved. Of course, it’s not always easy, but the next time you feel yourself sinking into a minefield of insults, shut it out. Tell yourself that you shouldn’t be doing it and pre-occupy yourself with a good old-fashioned episode of Friends.

Set Yourself A Daily Challenge

Finding something you enjoy doing and completing it every day can be the best way of reassuring you that you’re doing good at well, life. It could be a 20-minute yoga session, writing a blog post, or completing a new recipe- anything. Just don’t be too hard on yourself if one day you don’t get around to doing it. Everyone is allowed a lazy day.

Visualize The Future

A crucial step on how to have self confidence is preparing your future. Try thinking about yourself as the person you want to be in 5 years. Whatever career and life goals you have, consider that they might come true and let it sink in. Visualizing yourself as the person you want to be can get you a little bit closer to believing that it might get to be true.

Care For Yourself

Seriously, have a bath, indulge in some skincare, buy some fluffy pajamas and relax. Taking the time out to have a bit of me-time can seriously up how you feel about yourself. The pressures of working, looking, and feeling good will dissolve and you can have the night to just chill. Chilling is underrated and often much needed.

Accept Compliments

This can be a real tough nut to crack because it’s easy to believe that the person handing out the compliments is “just saying it”. But always try to remember that you wouldn’t give out compliments if you didn’t mean them, so why would they? Allowing yourself to be celebrated and feel good, even if only for a second can really boost your self-esteem.

How to have self confidence is not a quick fix, and it can often be a difficult road to navigate. But, tips like these might get you slightly on the way and are worth a try!

Baby steps, ladies.
