Every woman needs a basic wardrobe of go to clothes that she can pull out and throw on. Sometimes, the night before takes over the morning after and a quick shower and a swipe of lippy is all you’ve got time for. With this in mind, I’ve tried to create the ultimate list of easy, cool and stylish clothes every woman should be able to throw on for a day at uni. This list will help you know what to wear to university!
Jamie Jeans
Black skinny jeans were once the most inspired piece of fashion in any young woman’s wardrobe. Now, they’re a little bit less important but I believe they are still super easy and comfortable and should not be forgotten! They go with anything, and look amazing on so many different body types – they are a staple of a student wardrobe and of campus fashion.
Leggings
Every woman should have leggings in her wardrobe for those days when she feels like she just wants to be a bit sluggy and comfy. This woman doesn’t give a shit about any patriarchal ideas of what you should wear and look like in any social situations and understands that university is a place of learning and being comfortable is very important. These are the perfect addition to your wardrobe for what to wear to university.
Harem/Comfy Trousers
These trousers by FatFace, are super comfortable and have a cue parakeet design. They’re very simple but would be very breathable and easy to wear on a bus, in a lecture hall, eating a sandwich, in a club. Basically, these trousers have you covered. They can be paired with anything from hoodies to simple tees and would still look amazing.
These harem pants are available in every colour and pattern combination imaginable. They would be super comfortable but maybe a little less formal than the parakeet trousers, but if your campus fashion is comfort over everything else then these are your best friends.
University Jumper or Hoodie
Hoodies from your university are super easy going and as well as showing some pride they’re also very comfortable to wear as campus fashion. The ones at the University of Manchester come in lots of different styles and colours, so there an amazing variety to chose from.
Band Tees
Band Tees are the perfect accompaniment for leggings, jeans or even harem pants. They’re stylised to your own preferences and yet are universally loved. They’re also generally designed to be worn a little bit oversized so will keep that comfort on a lazy campus fashion day. This is one of the casual cool options for what to wear to university.
Cropped Tees
Cropped Tees are very comfortable to wear with high waist trousers. Whether they be jeans, or leggings or harem pants they’re perfect for campus fashion. Cropped Tees have a lot of movement and comfort and are an essential for any student’s wardrobe. They also have the added benefit of looking a bit fancy and can make it look like you’ve made effort. In reality: you fell out of bed.
Big Shirts
Oversized shirts are the ultimate lazy woman essential. They look amazing with everything and are the perfect over the top slouchy essential to complete your campus look. Rocking an oversized shirt shows you don’t care, except they have pockets and that’s great because women’s clothes never does.
