What Tapestry Suits Your Style?

Are you looking to decide what tapestry to use in your room? But you’re unsure of what to pick and what suits your room? I’ve been there, done that, so here is how to choose tapestry based on your style…

Tapestry is one of those room decors that are so based on a person’s style. Not everyone will like the same tapestry, some may see it as to Boho, others as too Street Style and so on and so forth. So, how do you choose your tapestry? And which tapestry suits your style?

1. BOHO CHIC

These are tapestry that have a more bohemian style but still look very chic. Do you dress like you’re at Coachella 2013 everyday? These type of tapestry are for those who like to wear long and flowy skirts, flowery items, long or wooly cardigans or even those who like a good flower crown or over-sized jewelry. You like to keep you hair long and wavy, you love your jewelry, yoga and pilates are your form of relax and you love to read a good book while having a cup of tea.

The tapestry you prefer is very flower based, have Indian mandalas, have neutral colors and aren’t too bright. You’ll definitely set it up with fairy lights of some sort, and have them positioned near on on top of your bed.  You’re room looks like the home decor aisle of Urban Outfitters, all you miss is SG Lewis or Vance Joy playing in the background, with a scented candle lit to give the room ambiance.

2. Astrology Lover

The next type of tapestry is for those who love Astrology, and are alternative but don’t like to make it evident. You love looking up horoscopes, ascendant and descendant signs, as well as they are secret nerds. Your go-to type of outfit can vary from jeans and t-shirt to a completely out-there outfit. Friends is your favorite series (although who doesn’t love Friends??), and your go-to band is between London Grammar and Two Door Cinema Club.

The type of tapestry is star, moon and sun based. You love to have the moon in your room as you feel connected to it. You meditate in the morning with incense turned on, and you love a good lush based bath. Your room looks very similar to Boho chic because you also obviously have some sort of fairy light in your room.  But the difference is visible in the placement of the lights, they need to illuminate the room like tiny little starts rather than placed to look bohemian.

3. At One With Nature

Now, this category is a hard one, because one can be Boho chic but also at one with nature. But the difference lies in personal preference. Your style is less bohemian and more hippy-like. You love nature and you want to feel like you are in nature inside your room. Thus, the choice of trees and environmental tapestry. You dress alternative but not too outside the box, plaid and gingham our your preferred pattern.

You are very environmental and choose to buy from ethical brands, you have all vegan and environmentally friendly soaps, as well as one of a kind pieces. You’re room look more clean-cut, almost as though you’re living a minimalist lifestyle. Your choice of fun activity is hiking, climbing or cleaning any sort of water. Your music of choice is something like Lo-Fang, or Mumford and Sons. You prefer bigger fairy lights to make the room look less cluttered.

4. Street Style

Now, Street Style is one that is hard to define because it could be anyone. You could be someone that listens to R&B and Rap, like Chance the Rapper or Cardi B, or someone that likes to dress up, you have a few fake furs, and neon in your closet. You love to look extra and love a good dance-off. Your room is your expression room, you vary between using pictures you took as tapestry and actual tapestry with street elements or a city background.

You love some neon-colored lights, but they aren’t necessarily fairy lights, they’re led lights; you stick them at the floor or towards the ceiling to give your room a sort of “music video” environment. You like to have your music on loud, and relax with florescent lights in your room. You love reality TV shows and when given the choice you love a good night out with the hustle and bustle.

You like all genres pop to indie, R&B to classics. Your tapestry can vary from very hippy-like to very basic, depends on what fashion is saying.

You have the latest Bath and Body Works candle, and you buy the seasonal scent. Your room has loads of cacti and succulents. You don’t want plants that need too much effort. Your go-to room decor place to go to is Target. In fact, you have too many pillows to count in your whole room. Your room is well organised and you have some sort of light decorations which you change according to season.
