10 Ways To Get Rid Of Scars ASAP

Scars can complicate life and make you very self-conscious. It is quite difficult to get rid of them. But it is not impossible. Here are 10 natural ways to get rid of scars.

1. Aloe vera

Aloe vera has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties that promote wound healing, stimulate the production of collagen, remove scars and encourage skin cells regeneration. It also helps reduce skin irritation and itching. Topical application of aloe vera will improve your skin texture over time. Aloe vera is also great for sunburns.

2. Raw Honey

Raw honey is a very popular ingredient and can be easily added to your skincare routine. It is famously known for its healing and anti-bacterial properties. Raw honey stimulates tissue regeneration and moisturise the skin. Massaging raw honey on your face for 5 minutes will break down the scar tissues and make them look less apparent.

3. Lemon

Lemon juice is packed with AHAs, which remove dead skin cells. It also has brightening properties, which can help fade discolorations and make the scars look less visible. Apply some lemon juice with a cotton ball and let sit for 10 minutes. Then rinse with warm water. Do not forget to keep your skin mosturise as lemon can be quite drying.

But be careful, lemon can make your skin sensitive to sunlight. So use SFP before going out during the day.

4. Vitamin E

Vitamin E reduces the pigmentation of scar tissues, making them appear less noticeable. It contains antioxidants, which protect the skin from free radicals and promotes the production of healthy skin cells.

5. Rosehip oil

Rosehip oil is high in fatty acids, which can heal dehydrated skin. It is an incredible scar-fighting oil that can be used on all skin types. Rosehip oil contains a small quantity of retinol, a derivate of vitamin A that helps reduce the appearance of scars and dark spot on the face.

It is a dry oil so it won’t leave any greasy residue on the face!

6. Lavender

The lavender essential oil has antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. It promotes healing and cellular regeneration. Lavender oil is a great option if you have acne, burns or eczema. Apply a couple of drops to the problematic area daily.

Use unrefined shea butter rather than any refined version. Refined shea butter usually means that nutrients are not present anymore.
