10 Ways To Dress Like Ally From A Star Is Born
Did anyone else love the way Ally dressed in A Star Is Born? Apart from loving the movie itself (and wishing Bradley Cooper would continue to sing and create music for us) I loved seeing Lady Gaga dress down so well and with so much understated style and flair, not to mention, how strikingly beautiful she looked with low key makeup! It definitely made me want to get some of Ally’s wardrobe staples, and since Ally’s character was certainly on a budget, here are 10 easy and affordable ways to dress like her!
1. Leopard Print Pants
This first outfit was my favourite look from Ally! I am a huge fan of this look’s retro, 70s vibe, and am especially loving the animal print trend that is continuing well into 2019. In my opinion, Leopard Print Jeans should be in every girl’s wardrobe! It is an item that is easily paired with a Classic Black or White Tee and Black Boots which will give you an awesome and funky look.

2. Black Pinstripe Pants
This look really surprised me, which we first saw her wear on her first live stage performance with Jackson! I loved how trendy it looked despite it being so understated. It looks so effortless! It makes nice a change from wearing all Black Pants, and can be dressed up by wearing Black Pointy Heels as Ally does in the movie. Although Ally’s actual pants are designer, there are alternative high street ones that you can purchase that won’t break the bank, and it is a perfect way to dress like Ally.

3. Red Brown Knee High Heeled Boots
This whole entire outfit screams retro, cowboy chic and I need it in my life! The Reddish Brown Boots are my favourite part as well as of course Ally wearing Jackson’s Classic Brown Leather Jacket. These boots will give any outfit a little pick up, perfectly paired with a range of colours, including browns, blacks and even white, also suitable for any season. The thing I love most about Ally’s look is how quick and easy it seems, yet still has so much style! As we know, she’s always on the go with Jackson, sometimes at a moment’s notice.

4. Black Fedora Hat
This item wasn’t actually in Ally’s wardrobe originally, it is actually one of Jackson’s must have wardrobe items which he gives to her (awww!). This is especially sweet when we learn how important his hat is to him! It looks perfect on her giving her a real country vibe whilst at the same time matching perfectly with her overall look.

5. White Flared Striped Pants
I loved this 70s, classy, yet oh so stylish outfit donned by Ally in her songwriting scenes with Jackson Maine. Paired with that stunning California palm tree backdrop, that makes it an Instagram worthy outfit and backdrop photo for sure! My favourite thing about Ally’s style is how her style is classy, casual, rock, tomboy and feminine all at the same time. This is definitely an important piece to add to your wardrobe to dress like Ally.
6. White Cowboy Style Boots
This trend was huge in the summer and autumn of 2018, and it looks like its here to stay, I love it! It’s common knowledge that white and black go with everything, and although white is taboo for shoes (they can get dirty so easily!), it looks amazing paired with any colour of jeans, trousers or skirt. This is one item I am definitely stealing from Ally’s wardrobe to dress like her.

7. Black Sheer Polka Dot Blouse
This blouse was seen at Ally’s first festival performance, which looked stunning paired with her messy ponytail and choker. It exudes feminine, youthful and classy energy and dresses up jeans, black trousers or a denim skirt, the perfect way to dress like Ally. I am seriously taking notes on how to adopt her effortless style even on those days where I don’t feel like putting in much effort. If Ally can manage it, then so should I!

Personally, I was over the moon when I saw that the chokers that I had worn as a young kid made a comeback in fashion a few years ago. Finally my childhood dreams of dressing like those 90s TV show characters I adored were coming true! I love how Ally frequently dons her Black Choker, an easy, understated way to dress up any outfit adding sex appeal. It’s a classic item every girl needs to own and a perfect way to dress like Ally.

And last but not least, here is a simple yet essential part of Ally’s wardrobe. If you want to dress like Ally exactly, you can get the exact T-shirt she wears in the movie from Redbubble! They have replicated the exact print that she dons, but of course don’t forget to twist the front up into a knot to show a little skin, a perfect little way to dress it up if you don’t have time to get changed for an evening outing!
