We all get days where we feel low and struggle to feel confident in ourselves. When you’re feeling like this, here are twenty tips to help you boost your self-esteem.

1. Praise yourself for every small achievement you accomplish

We always focus on the large events that happen in our lives. Praise yourself for every little achievement, no matter how small. Whether you got yourself out of bed when you didn’t want to or made yourself a great meal, praise yourself for everything you achieve.

2. Talk to yourself fairly

We are always harsher on ourselves more than anyone else, meaning we beat ourselves up much more than we should. When you catch yourself talking harshly about yourself, tell yourself whether you would say this to someone you care about.

3. Write any negative thoughts down

This is a old but great way to boost your self-esteem. Once you’ve written these down, throw them or burn them. You’ll be expressing and throwing away these negative thoughts which in turn will help you feel more positive.

4. Stop comparing yourself to others

Everyone is different and going through their own issues. Just because someone has achieved something you haven’t doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. Everything has its time and place. By doing this, it will help boost your self-esteem.
