10 Ways To Pamper Yourself In Brighton

mm

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Brighton, the city has a wealth of relaxing, pampering options for you to try out. Whether you’ve got a hot date, or you just want a little me-time, we’ve got you covered. Check out the list below of 10 ways to pamper yourself in Brighton.

1. Get a massage.

A  place called Little Jasmine offers bespoke massage therapies that will totally de-stress you and leave you feeling relaxed and hashtag unbothered. All those little things you’ve been worried about? Suddenly forgotten.

2. Have your nails done.

Want a really good manicure that lasts? If you’re willing to travel up to Hove, a salon called Polished does some of the best manicures and pedicures in Brighton. Stick with a simple Shellac for two weeks of chip-free colour, or go all out and try a full set of acrylics. Whatever you choose, the lovely ladies that work there will put you at ease and you’ll leave with the best nails of your life.

3. Book a spa day at the Grand.

It’s not called the Grand for nothing, and this beautiful hotel offers holistic spa treatments, as well as a sauna and steam room. The facials are a true treat for your skin since the ingredients they use reap the full benefits of the ocean.

4. Enjoy a reflexology session.

Pamper Pod provides reflexology, a therapy that involves a relaxing foot soak, followed by a massage for your feet to stimulate your reflexes. You’ll find yourself leaving with a heightened sense of inner peace and balance.

5. Head down to Lush and stock up on bath bombs.

If you’re like me, then a Lush bath bomb is the epitome of me-time. Intergalactic will always be a favourite for mystical, Insta-worthy bathwater swirls, but for a heavenly fragrance that will linger all day, it has to be Tisty Tosty. Just make sure you peel off the crushed rose petals that will invariably stick to you after using it; I’m speaking from experience.

6. Dine on decadent afternoon tea at Metrodeco.

Stroll down to Kemp Town to sample one of Metrodeco’s famous afternoon teas. Vintage cake stands, complete with macarons, scones, and finger sandwiches will curb your sweet tooth; but you can also opt for the savoury option, which comes with Scotch eggs and sausage rolls. Be sure to sample one of Metrodeco’s bespoke teas from the lengthy list; the vanilla and roobois is a firm favourite. Bonus points awarded for the beautifully patterned crockery.

7. Treat yourself to a blow dry.

The hairdressers at House of Hair Brighton are masters of the bouncy Hollywood blow-dry, serving Eva Longoria levels of volume with each round-barrelled brush. So as the expert are they, they can usually take your hair from drab to fab in half the time you might expect from other salons. Call it express-pamper.

8. Visit Lashious for lash extensions.

Since you have to lay there with your eyes shut for an hour while they individually attach each synthetic eyelash, lash extensions are the ultimate relaxation experience. Think eyelash extensions are too dramatic? At Lashious, you can be specific and personalise the type of look you’re going for.

9. Spend twenty minutes on a SunAngel.

Okay, so sun beds aren’t the safest way to tan, but the SunAngel is the newest innovation that claims to dramatically reduce the amount of harmful UV exposure compared to regular sunbeds; and is the safest sunbed on the market. The SunAngel is super spacious, with a gap at the top end for you to stretch your arms out of. It’s equipped with an in-built fan that you can adjust yourself and a socket for your headphones so you can listen to music while you chillax. Check out the Brow Bar if you want to try this out yourself.

10. Try out a Floatation Tank.

For the hardcore relaxers, Cocoon offers floatation tanks- darkened tanks filled with warm, salty water that you float in for the ultimate relaxation experience. Floaters are said to be able to achieve a level of Zen, that can take people up to 25 years to establish, after just an hour in one of these tanks. Colour us intrigued.
