Kio was started by Daniel Lopez de Medrano, since he went vegan in 2012. He saw a few documentaries with his dad and they both went vegan right away. What did it for Daniel was the animals, he couldn’t bear to watch what was being done to them and at the time he had an amazing little dog called Snoopy. He made the connection fairly quickly once he became aware of how his food got to his plate.
Since Daniel was about 15, he always wanted to have his own clothing line, it was a dream. A goal that was extremely unobtainable in his mind at that time. He had a few ideas, but never liked them at all, because the clothing line didn’t stand for anything and didn’t have a message nor a purpose. So he simply left that dream on standby. Until recently he put two and two together and decided to mix his passion for veganism and his goal of making a clothing line!
This is only the start for this brand but so much more is yet to come.
