10 Uni Outfits Inspired By Rachel Green

Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green has definitely left her mark in history as one of the most fashionable TV characters ever. From her casual day-to-day outfits to her most elegant ones, she is still a fashion inspiration even 23 years after that first episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S aired! Here are 10 of the most iconic outfits of Rachel Green, so that you can incorporate that laid-back but fashionable as hell look in your uni days!

1. Comfy, roomy trousers

This iconic scene where Rachel and Monica were having an argument because of Jean-Claude van Damme, has left its mark in fashion history with Rachel’s outfit that is so comfortable yet stylish with its nude and neutral colours and is very fitting for everyday uni looks.

It looks effortless and is so cute, especially when you pair with some comfy white trainers, and perhaps also a white cardigan (just like Rachel did)! Also: simple t-shirts with a tiny print on them are a 90s and a Rachel Green classic!

2. The cami dress

The cami is another Rachel Green classic, which she has used at casual and more formal alike! It’s a very easy look to style by using a top with long or short sleeves underneath, and you can definitely wear this to lectures or the library or just chilling around campus with your friends.

Go for a short dress for a flirtier vibe, or a long dress for a more sophisticated one, and pair with some booties or trainers for the classic 90s look!

3. The skirt!

Rachel Green is mostly remembered for inspiring the haircut called ‘The Rachel’, making pouring coffee look cute, and all the “We were on a break” business. But she is also very much famous for her short black skirt moments. This specific look is paired up with a tight-fitting polo top which you can do in literally any colour you’d want as the black skirt goes with everything!

4. The tartan skirt!!!

This is probably the most memorable outfit that Rachel Green ever wore on the show! The white polo jumper, the tartan skirt, the knee-high socks, the heels… It’s all too much and we love it!

But overall we can agree that this is also a very chic look to wear at uni and it will look stunning on you. Pair with a watch and a nice clean tote and it’s definitely a great look for a student!

5. The jumpsuit!

Rachel is notorious for her jumpsuits and overalls whether they are denim or not, she looks gorgeous in them. They are a perfect casual look for uni as well and are so easy to throw on in the morning as well!

Just choose a nice fitting t-shirt or jumper underneath, combine with a good pair of trainers and you are literally ready in minutes and you look put-together as well.

6. The black shorts

An alternative to Rachel’s famous black skirt are the black shorts. They are definitely comfier and once paired up with a pair of black tights are wearable even in colder weather. This look has been paired up with a t-shirt with big numbers and Rachel is definitely not a stranger to logos, and she even manages to make sporty look chic.

7.  The classic

This is probably the most casual look you can see from Rachel Green and the easiest one to wear to uni. A pair of mum jeans and a white t-shirt can go a long way, as we all know now.

It’s easy to dress up in different ways, whether that’s with some trainers and a rucksack or some black heeled booties and a more sophisticated bag, you can never go wrong with this outfit!

The trend of printed skirts has been around for the past year or so and we love it so much as a staple 90s trend, as well! Rachel used to rock them from time to time and they are perfect for a casual day at uni where you just want to feel more dressed up.

Even if you wear it with the oldest t-shirt you own it will still make your whole look stunning!

9. The sporty gal

Of course, we cannot talk about Rachel Green fashion moments and not mention her famous Thanksgiving outfit! Admit it, this was a look and it looks like the comfiest outfit you could wear for a long day on campus, where you’ll be running from lecture to lecture or just spending hours in the library. Some joggers, a sporty t-shirt and some dad trainers, can go a long way!

10. The college kid

Rachel has worn an oversized sports jumper a few times throughout the show and it’s always such a great casual look. It’s a classic college kid look and you can wear it on days where you can allow yourself to look slightly less smart than you usually would.

So, find a hoodie of a sports team that you love or just thrift a jumper and you get the absolute look! Pair with some joggers or shorts like Rachel Would, or wear with leggings/jeans to your own liking.
