10 Things Every UKC Student Asks Themselves
A UKC student will ask themselves many questions throughout first year. From welcome weekend to essay deadlines, these are the top 10 things University of Kent students asks themselves on the daily.
1. Why did I bring so much stuff to uni?
As you lug all your belongings up the 4 flights of stairs to the flat you realise you really didn’t need that waffle iron.
2. Why do I never have enough coins for laundry?
Pound coins are always cluttering up your purse until you actually need them for something.
3. Why do they test the fire alarms at 9 am?
Such an anti-social time for students!
4. Why did I agree to go to Vensday tonight even though I have a 9 am lecture tomorrow in Woolfe?
It’s just too hard to turn down a sesh.
5. Why am I such a sucker for the £7 cheeseburger with onions from the food van outside Venue?
The smell of frying onions and grease is too hard to resist when you’re feeling waved.
6. Why did I come to this 9 am lecture hung-over?
It will probably be recorded and uploaded onto Moodle later anyway.
7. Why didn’t I do the reading for this seminar?
I’ll make an effort to do next week’s reading before the seminar.
8. Why did I get off with that person from my seminar group?
This is very awks now; I’ll try to avoid eye contact for the rest of the year.
9. Why is Templeman always packed when I need to study?
By the time you find a seat you’ll have lost all motivation to do work.
10. Why didn’t I start this assignment earlier?
I’ll have to pull an all-nighter to get this done by the deadline.
