It really is a myth that going vegan means that your diet has to be boring or that eating out has to be difficult. More vegan restaurants than ever are popping up all over the UK and we are so excited to try them all! Here’s a list of some of the trendiest vegan hotspots in the UK to visit this year.

1. TYF (Tell Your Friends), London

You will want to tell all your friends about this recently opened vegan restaurant in Fulham. Opened by Made in Chelsea sisters’, Lucy and Tiffany Watson, TYF’s menu is packed with fresh seasonal ingredients as well as healthy eats and hearty comfort food. “Our mission is to provide delicious + nourishing food, showcasing the wide variety of options available – there’s more to vegan life than salad!”

2. Nama, London

Nama Foods is based in West London and offers vegan catering as well as raw birthday cakes. Yum!

3. Farmacy, London

Make sure you make a reservation before you plan to visit Farmacy as it is always difficult to get a table. Based in Notting Hill, their menu offers an array of delicious plant-based dishes inspired from around the globe, free from dairy, refined sugars, additives and chemicals. We suggest going for brunch – I mean, have you seen their vegan chocolate chip waffles?!

5. Picky Wops, London

Who said vegans couldn’t eat pizza? Another trendy vegan hotspot based in Fulham, Picky Wops offer 100% vegan pizzas for takeaway or to be enjoyed in their recently opened pizzeria.

6. Temple of Seitan, London

Vegan fast food has never looked or tasted this good! Temple of Seitan first started in 2015. They have restaurants located in Camden and Hackney, as well as at street food pop ups all over London. What’s on the menu? Burgers, “chickn” wings, fries and mac ‘n cheese! This is one of the most unique vegan hotspots!

7. Rola Wala, Various Locations

Rola Wala bring high quality, fresh Indian flavours across the UK every week. Their mission is “to ignite spaces everywhere with incredible Indian flavours.” They have restaurants based in London, Leeds and Birmingham. Though not all of their food is vegan, they have lots of options on the menu for all the naan-loving vegans out there!

8. Happy Friday Kitchen, Oxford

Happy Friday Kitchen is Oxford’s first and only 100% vegan restaurant. Their menu is inspired by plant based Californian comfort food, with dishes ranging from Mac ‘n Cheese to wholesome Buddha Bowls. Their aim is “to promote a vegan lifestyle through our kick-ass cuisine & show that being vegan doesn’t mean missing out on your favourite comfort foods.”

9. Global Tribe Cafe, Leeds

Global Tribe Cafe is based right in Leeds’ City Centre. People are encouraged to gather without judgement and enjoy great food created by the talented team. The cafe’s chef’s make healthy comfort food that will satisfy the body as well as the spirit. Try their Vegan Full English or Breakfast Burrito!

10. The Egg Cafe, Liverpool

Don’t be fooled by the name – they are vegetarian/vegan! The Egg Café occupies the light and airy loft space of an old Victorian warehouse and boasts a panoramic view of the historic city centre. As well as being Liverpool’s arguably most famous vegan restaurant, The Egg Café is also an independent art gallery and social hotspot. Its relaxed vibe is especially popular among artists and students.

11. V-Revolution, Manchester

V-Revolution (or V-Rev) is Manchester’s first and only 100% vegan diner. Their beefy patties are made in-house out of seitan and soy. The homemade fried chkn seitan is dipped in buttermalk, breaded and deep fried. Oh, and have you seen their vegan poutine – HOUSE GRAVY, CHEEZ, CRISPY FRIED ONIONS! This is one of the most delicious vegan hotspots!
