Top 5 High End Dupes That Can Be Found In Drug Stores
There are several high-end brands out there that are very pricey to get your hands on. But have no fear! As someone who has worked in retail and in high-end beauty, I have become very familiar with products which I think you can find high end dupes for the likes of Chanel, Laura Mercier, Urban Decay and MORE!
Primer:
Mac Prep + Prime Radiance Primer
Mac is a very well-established company which started branching out in 1984. Since then it has cultivated many ladies’ makeup bags. The texture of the MAC Prep primer is very creamy and leaves a nice dewy finish on the skin before you apply your makeup, so you could if you wanted to just go bare face with a nice natural-looking glow. The only downside of using the primer is that pesky price tag. For a student, its not the ideal price for a primer which is why I use the E.L.F Radiant Glow Hydrating Primer.

Elf Radiant Glow Hydrating PrimerÂ
Before, when I was at university, I wasn’t fortunate enough to get my hands on any E.L.F cosmetics because it was hard to find and was only really known in America. The only store that tended to stock up on E.L.F was Superdrug, and even those weren’t everywhere compared to Boots. What I love about E.L.F, in general, is that their price points are practically below £20. They make a very good dupe for MAC products, Smashbox and many other big brands. The E.L.F illuminating primer is the closest product which I could find close to the MAC Prep primer, it has the same finish and is the fraction of the price.

Concealer:
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
For several years I have been OBSESSED with Nars, particularly with their radiant creamy concealer. When I could afford it, I would buy their Radiant Creamy Concealer. The creamy concealer leaves a smooth, hydrating finish, especially under your eyes so you don’t get that patchy residue you would get at the end of the day with other concealers which I’ve tried. Though I can’t always afford my trusted friend. Luckily a friend of mine recommended Bourjois’s Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Concealer.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer
Bourjois’s Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Concealer is brightening and has a smooth finish, similar to Nars’s Creamy Radiant Concealer. Boujois caters to both matt skin and dry skin, so if you tend to have oily skin, the Boujois Blur the Lines Concealer is your best bet. What I like best about most of Bourjois’s products is that it has a nice and light fruity smell, in comparison to high-end brands that have that distinct crayon-like smell which I am not a huge fan of.

Lips:
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte LipstickÂ
I am a huge fan of Huda and her beautiful liquid lip ranges. She caters to every skin tone and the quality of the liquid lip guarantees a perfect application of colour on to the lips. Though I do find myself buying a lot more than I ask for and I hardly end up using the liquid lips which I’ve purchased. So, to rectify my poor self-control of buying liquid lipsticks I turned to Victoria’s Secret Cream Matte Lip Stain.

Victoria’s Secret Velvet Cream Matte Lip StainÂ
I found this beauty when I was working at a shopping centre that had just launched Victoria’s Secret and I couldn’t help myself but go in as there aren’t many Victoria’s Secret stores across the country. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this bad boy. It provides a matte finish on the lips but doesn’t dry out your lips compared to Huda Beauty. I feel that with the Huda Beauty Liquid Lips you need to prep your lips a little more, but if you’re lazy like me or are very busy and hardly have time to maintain your lips, this lip stain does the trick.

Lipstick:
Dior Couture LipstickÂ
The Dior Couture Lipstick has been a cult in the make-up industry. It glides on the lips so easy and it doesn’t take much effort to work with to get a clean finish. However, the price point is pretty high for a bit of lippy. I managed to find a dupe that worked just as well.

Seventeen Stay Pout Lipstick
Can we mention the price please because believe me, you get a lot more worth with the Seventeen Stay Pout Lipstick and I tell you why. The colour lasts all day, it’s buildable so you can have a natural finish or a go for a heavier glam. The amount of colour ranges they have is fantastic. Seventeen have more than 10 colour ranges, and often the price of these lipsticks can drop to £1.25 as Boots.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Naked Palette 3
The beloved Urban Decay Palettes are the world’s favourite pallet. It’s natural, buildable and has lots of colour. As much as I love Urban Decay’s Number 3 palette in particular, and truthfully I do think it’s a great investment for someone who doesn’t wear eyeshadow that often. However, if you incorporate wearing eyeshadow every other day, then the price doesn’t really seem worth investing.

Revolution Re-Loaded Palette
When Revolution put out their Re-Loaded Palette, I thought it was a perfect product to buy. It has similar colours to the number 3 palette and is equally as pigmented. Though I do advise wearing a primer to make the eyeshadow last a little longer on the eyes, but other than that no complaints! It’s the perfect dupe and doesn’t break the bank.
