Tis The Season… Festival Season! Shop These Must-Have Glitter Makeup Looks
It’s not a festival unless you’re covered in glitter! We’ve searched high and low for the best glitter makeup looks and formed a list of what they are and how you can re-create them yourself! Don’t worry if you’re feeling nervous about all of the sparkles, we have something for everyone!
1) Face jewels
This is a HUGE trend for festivals! From gem crowns to gem tears, from huge jewels to tiny sparkles- you can put them anywhere on your face and do as many patterns as you can think of! Head to the gypsy shrine for the best in face gems! Also available at some retailers such as Superdrug, Missguided and Topshop.
2) Body gems
If you’re the kind of person that is glitter obsessed and face glitter just isn’t enough, then this is for you. Go all out and stick glitter and gems all over your body! It may get messy, but it is so worth it! How crazy will you go? Once again check out the gypsy shrine and try the look yourself! 3) Glitter lips
Want to try something different? Go for a lip covered in glitter! Or be creative and use bigger glitter to produce patterns and ‘lip art’. 5) Glitter eyeliner
The most subtle of sparkles for those wanting tho try the trend, but are a little scared to go all out just yet! There are loads of glitter eyeliners on the market, take a look at a couple of our picks available in Superdrug such as the crystal gel glitter eyeliner and the stardust glitter eyeliner. This is totally one of our favorite glitter makeup looks.
6) Glitter eyeshadow
Once you’ve nailed the eyeliner, time to move onto the eyeshadow and you can go wild! Take time to practise different looks as glitter can be tricky to master and very messy! These glitters are the most versatile- you can use them on the rest of your face or any part of the body. Try Vaseline to make your glitter stick! With so many glitters on the market at affordable prices, it’s hard to go wrong! 8) Glitter lashes
Another subtle way to add glitter to your festival look is glitter eyelashes. The way the light catches them will see you sparkling all night! Glitter lashes are harder to come by, but they are easily available on Etsy and you can find them if you have a hunt around. Highlighters for festivals are a given! In fact, they’re a given for any situation. But, you can be extra with your highlighting at a festival! We’ve found some unicorn inspired highlighters from glitter eyes that are perfect for the festival season such as galaxy and starlight!
