5 Effective Tips To Manage Your Study Time

Are you a student struggling with time management, and you’re sick of feeling rushed in the very last minutes? Here are 5 effective tips to manage your study time!

List Out Everything!

The very first thing I want you to do to learn how to manage your study time is to list out every single thing that you think you might have to do every day!

Once you have a list of what you need to do, it’s time for you to put it in a timetable. You can first put the essential time in, and then fill it out with other activities you would like to do. For example, you have to go to school every Monday morning, then you should give that subject at least 45 minutes to study by yourself at the end of the day, or any day of your reference!

Know Who You Are

We are all different, so if you heard your friend been waking up at 6 AM and studying, while you don’t feel like waking up that early, you don’t have to do it. Find an effective time for yourself to study, we all have different times that we can work the most effectively. In order to manage your study time better as well as achieving good results in studying then, this is the most important thing you need to do!

Your Schedule Can Be Changed At Anytime

But remember, manage your study time doesn’t need to be stiff, your timetable can be flexible and change anytime, according to every subject, every event that might occur! But always make sure to spend at least 30 minutes to learn something before going to sleep. If you don’t study anything on that day, don’t think about going to sleep too easily!

The most effective way to manage your study time is to have different types of the timetable: you can make yourself a semester timetable, a daily timetable, and a weekly timetable. The more specific your timetable is, the easier it helps you to keep track and be on track!

Sort Out Your Priorities

You need to know which assignment is your priority. As you’re learning, you’ll find some assignments need to put more effort than the other, or maybe because its due date is sooner. Sorting out which subject needs to come first will help you to manage your study time better.

You can start to write down at the beginning of every semester which course you find the hardest, which one is not, which one needs to due first. Then make yourself a track list on your study, you can make an evaluate form by yourself as well!

The Pomodoro Technique

Maybe you have heard about this studying technique already, maybe not? So basically, you study for 25 minutes straight and then take a short 3 – 5 minutes break, continue to do it until you finish 4 rounds, only by then you can take a big break (15 – 30 minutes). I find this technique quite interesting and effective, it makes study seems easier since you don’t have to jam everything on your mind without resting.

You can try the Pomodoro technique in order to manage your study time better! As for myself, I like to study for 30 minutes before my short 3 minutes break! Choose the one that resonates the most with you.

These are the 5 tips that I found the most effective to manage my study time, maybe you have some better ideas? Do you want to share with us? Let us know in the comment box below!
