10 Tips For The Perfect Night In

Want the perfect night in with your girlfriends? Or do you want some quality time to yourself? Here are 10 tips for the perfect night in.

Don’t get me wrong, we all love a night on the town with our best girlfriends. But, we all love a cosy night in more. What’s better than pjs, wine and endless amount of chocolate? Nothing. Not only do we need a night with our girlfriends, sometimes we need time to ourselves. What better way to do this than a perfect night in with all of your favourite things? Here are 10 tips for the perfect night in, alone or with your girlfriends.

1. Have A Soak

Before the big night kicks off, relax and run yourself a red hot bubble bath. Why not chill out to the max – play some relaxing music or read a thrilling book? Drop in your favourite bath bomb or a relaxing essential oil. Hydrate the skin while re-generating yourself, the start to a perfect night in.

2. The Perfect Pjs

For the ultimate night in you’ve got to be comfortable and cosy, that is a must. There’s simply nothing better than getting into clean and comfy pjs after a long hard day. They are a necessity when it comes to the perfect night in. Chuck on your favourite pair of pjs straight outta’ the bath, don’t mess around! It’s never too early to sit back and un-wind.

3. Pamper Yourself

Now we can’t have a relaxing night in without pampering ourselves in the process. Pop on a face mask, cleanse and tone your skin for a proper pamper session. Why not go all out and paint your nails, grab your favourite nail colour and go crazy, do your toes too! You’ll feel refreshed and revitalised.

4. A Glass Of Red Or A Creamy Hot Chocolate

There are two options here: wine or hot chocolate. It’s totally down to personal preference, but it’s got to be one or the other. But lets be honest, can you beat a creamy hot chocolate with cream and mini marshmallows? Erm, I think not! But on the other hand, why not have both?  Grab yourself your favourite drink and relax for the night.

5. For The Foodie

Here’s the most important bit…food. We all have that foodie within us, and why not treat the foodie that you are to your favourite snacks. I’m talking chocolate, crisps, sweets, popcorn – the full works! Get your favourite, well, everything…because, why not? You’ve got to treat yourself from time to time, so why not go all out when you do?

6. Your Favourite Film

Next up is what to watch. Put on your favourite film or even your favourite box set. I know this can be a hard one, can you possibly chose a favourite? Do you wanna’ laugh until your tummy hurts? Then go for a romantic comedy. Or do you fancy something a little bit thrilling, to really get the adrenaline pumping? Then why not opt for a horror? In fact, just have a movie marathon! This makes for the perfect night in.

7. No Distractions

In this generation it’s hard to put down your phone and not look at it for more than, shall we say, 10 minutes at a time. But for the perfect night in you need to completely chill out, forget the world and all of your problems. Take a break from social media and have time to yourself, or catching up with your best girlfriends. Turn all phones off or leave it in another room, totally rejuvenate yourself.

8. The Perfect Mood

It’s important for the setting to be just right when you’re having the perfect night in, so set the scene with some irresistible smelling candles. While you’re already relaxing, why not treat yourself and go that extra mile to create the perfect ambiance. Opt for an aromatic smelling candle that will instantly make the whole atmosphere completely zen. Not only will it make your whole room smell divine, it will relax your body and your mind – a well needed relaxation experience from your own home!

9. Get Cosy

One of the best bits about a night in is getting warm and cosy. Snuggle with all of your favourite teddies (we all have them) and settle down for the night. Get the softest blankets and the fluffiest throws you can find and cosy on up. Make sure to get everything you need, because once your head hits that pillow, there’s no going back – you aren’t moving for the rest of the night!

10. Quality Time

This one is a personal choice. Some people like to spend time on their own, to charge their batteries from the hard week thats just been. Or, some people never want to be alone and they always want their best girlfriends by their side. Whether you want some peace and quiet and some time on your own, or you want to have a catch up with your best friend – both make for the perfect night in.
