With our busy lives and hectic schedules, it’s all too easy to forget to clear, get rid of and throw away the things that we no longer need, and/or hold us back. With this handy guide, you’ll have a lot more space to relax and unwind.
The first thing to throw away immediately are old magazines. Get rid of old magazines you have lying around your living space, because the likelihood is that you are not planning to, or going to re-read them. Do this, and you will have a lot more space on your bookshelf!
The second thing to throw away immediately is receipts, bills and documents. Throw away receipts for items that you are not planning on returning and ones that you will not need to use come tax time, or for any other important reason. Do this, and you will have a lot more space in your drawers and folders!
The third thing to throw away immediately is clothes. Try to use the two-year rule for clothes – get rid of clothing items that you have not worn in two years. Additionally, get rid of clothes that no longer fit you or clothes that you rarely reach for on a daily basis. Donate your unwanted clothes to a charity of your choice, or a local women’s charity. Do this, and you will have a lot more space in your wardrobe!
The next thing to throw away immediately is books. Go through your bookshelf, and gather together the books that you have not touched in months and the books that you are not planning on re-reading. Do this, and you will have a lot more space on your bookshelf!
Another thing to throw away immediately is medicine and vitamins. Take a look at your medicine cabinet and clear out the products that have expired. Additionally, clear out any medicine(s) that have sat on the shelf for far too long, and anything that you no longer need and use. Do this, and you will have a lot more space in your bathroom!
Makeup and perfume, that you no longer like and use, also are very important things to throw immediately to save space. Go through your beauty cabinet and your makeup bag(s), and get rid of any makeup products that you no longer use, are too old and expired. Do this, and you will have a lot more space on your bedroom vanity!
The next thing to throw away immediately is jewellery. Go through your jewellery collection and dispose of any broken costume jewellery, and then make plans to sell anything that you do not wear regularly. Do this, and you will have a lot more space in your bedroom and storage closets!
Another thing to throw away immediately is food. Not all food, don’t go overboard with this one. Go through your cupboards and your fridge, and clear out any items that clearly need to be thrown out – the old, the unused, and the rotting. Once you’ve done this, give your fridge a good clean. Do this, and your fridge will be thanking you!
The next thing to throw away immediately is notebooks. If you have loads of notebooks lying around your living space, take a look at them and throw away the ones that you no longer need. Do this, and you will have a lot more space on your shelves!
The last thing to throw away immediately is old or unused electronics. Try your best to recycle your electronic devices if you can, or sell them online to make a bit of money!
