1. You’ll Have To Ditch The Mascara

Eyelash extensions provide a full lash look, therefore, mascara is no longer required to make your lashes look fluttery and princess-like. However, that’s not the only reason mascara should be avoided in your daily makeup routine. Removing eye makeup, whilst you have eyelash extensions, is hard and can break down the extensions therefore, you could risk losing your natural lashes.

Other beauty products to avoid if you have eyelash extensions include pencil eyeliners and oil-based makeup removers and cleansers. Pencil eyeliners should be applied sparingly to keep the eyelash extensions clean and free of gunk and build-up to prolong their time spent on your lashes.

Oil-based makeup removers and cleansers will also have to be removed from your routine; eyelash extensions should not come in contact with oil as it will melt the glue and loosen the hold.

2. Your Sleeping Position Will Have To Change

You can no longer sleep facing down if you have eyelash extensions. Doing so will crush your eyelash extensions and ruin their perfect, fanned-out shape. Sleep on your back, or on your side, to avoid losing your extensions and to keep them in the greatest possible condition, before your next appointment.
