It can be a nightmare trying to remember everything to put in your handbag as you’re starting your day, right? With this list of 10 things every successful woman should keep in her handbag, you’ll never have this nightmare again!
When you’re a woman on the go, you can never be too safe when it comes to cleanliness. Always keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in your handbag to be sure you’re hands are lovely and clean at all times. After all, cleanliness is next to Godliness.
A successful woman should keep a notepad and pen in her handbag because you never know when inspiration might strike! Keep up with your do to lists, remember every important detail and always be the most organised woman in the room with your trusty notepad and pen.
A great thing to keep in your handbag is a (fully charged!) portable power bank for any times you might not have access to a plug socket. These come in super handy and are pretty affordable. It’s also a good idea to keep a charger for any electrical device that you may be carrying on you.
This is one of my favourites on this list. Keeping a toothbrush and toothpaste in your handbag can be a lifesaver in the most convenient times because let’s be honest, we’ve all left the house having forgotten to brush our teeth beforehand in a crazy rush and fear no more about that extra onion-y lunch! With these kept in your bag, you’ll feel like a whole new woman.
There is no worse feeling than having dry, chapped lips and there’s only so long you can bear licking your lips to give them some form of hydration, knowing that you’re making it worse with every lick. Avoid this by having a lip balm on you at all times. Always try to keep a lip balm in every place you might be for long periods of time, like your bedside table, in the car and in your drawer at work.
If you’re like me then you have mountains of painkiller packets at home from always buying them when you’re out and about, always forgetting to bring some with you. To avoid this and try to clear some of that mountain, why not keep a packet in your purse, this may also go hand in hand with the next thing you should always keep in your handbag.
Ladies, I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been in the horribly embarrassing situation where our period has come and we were not prepared in the slightest. Gone are the days of having to fold up toilet roll in your kickers and hope for the best. Keep some tampons and a spare pair of underwear in a separate pouch in your bag to avoid this situation happening ever again.
In 2019, it’s ridiculous to think that there are still people out there using coffee cups that take decades to decompose but, unfortunately, this is the case. Many cafes even offer cash back on drinks that are poured into customer’s own reusable cups. Some of these inexpensive cups can fold in on themselves, meaning they won’t take up much room in your handbag, so there’s no excuse! Do your bit for the environment, save a bit of cash and look chic doing it.
Regardless of the weather, you should always be wearing some form of sun protection and topping it up regularly. Make that an easier task with a bottle of sun lotion kept in your handbag. Not only will you be protecting your skin from harsh UV rays, but you’ll also smell like a summer holiday wherever you go.
Although we do hope for good weather, especially in summer, we do need to remember ladies and gents that we are in the UK so there is a good chance we will experience all four seasons in one day so best be prepared with a fold down umbrella, perfect for being stored in your handbag, and will let you leave the winter jacket at home this summer.
