It’s not summer without summer makeup. The moment that the weather gets warmer or sunnier, I whip out the glossy, gold shadows, and bronzer – regardless of how pasty and pale I am. Dress for the weather you want, not for the weather you have and all that. This season, we’re continuing with that barely-there makeup we’ve been seeing for the past few seasons: think glowing skin, glossy eyes, bushy brows. Of course, it being summer, a lot of bright new makeup launches are popping up! Red and orange eyeshadows have been everywhere for the past year, and they’re definitely not going anywhere. Fan favourites, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Glossier, have also come out with new products just in time for summer. Have a look at some of my favourite new makeup launches for this summer.
This lemon-scented (!!!) eyeshadow palette is set for a May release in the UK (exclusively on Amazon), and features a range of 12 matte and metallic peaches and pinks (and a yellow!), perfect for getting that summer glow. Of course, it being Maybelline, it’ll definitely be affordable, too:
After that mouthful, here’s what the product does: gives you an insane bronze glow. Rihanna really knows how to do it. Currently available in two shades (but I’ve seen more shades on US sites, so fingers crossed for them being available in the UK, too).
Cult brand Glossier does not disappoint with this new spring launch. These glossy, sparkly liquid eye shadows give a subtle wash of colour, adding to that fresh summer makeup look! This is one of the most sought after new makeup launches yet!
It’s not summer without new bronzers, and the Estée Lauder palette does not disappoint. The palette comes with a bronzer, blush, and highlighter (so a great one for holidays).
Patrick Starrr’s second MAC collection is floral-themed. It was too good to pass. Anyway, the collection features some super bright eye shadow palettes, lipsticks, and lipglosses, as well as two duo blushes. It’ll be available in the UK 19.4., and set to sell out quickly!
