Being in Europe it is so easy to travel. Give yourself a couple of hours and you could be in a different country, sipping wine with locals – sounds dreamy right? Well, here are 10 of the cheapest places to fly from London Gatwick!

Denmark

From just £14, you can visit Denmark’s capital, Copenhagen. Flights from London are short so it’s perfect for a short break! Take a picture with the famous ‘Little Mermaid’ statue, go on a Copenhagen pub crawl or maybe even take an ‘alternative’ tour of the city. And if you go, don’t forget to eat an authentic Danish Pastry!

Poland

Return flights to Poland’s capital, Warsaw start at just £16. Visit the famous Castle Square Landmark or take a walk and have a picnic in Saxon Gardens, one of the many parks. Or maybe have some fun with friends and try the ‘Room Escape Warszawa’ and test your friendship. If you like ravioli, make sure to try a Polish dish called ‘Pierogi,’ you won’t regret it!

France

Spontaneous trip to France, you have nothing ‘Toulouse!’ For just £17 you could take a stroll along the river Garonne with your baguette or maybe get on a river cruise! Or maybe you’d prefer to sip a coffee outside the beautiful Capitole building? If you’re feeling cultural then maybe visit the famous Basilica of Saint Sernin or visit one of the many museums? Don’t forget to take souvenirs back for your family from some of the cutest tourist shops.

Ireland

Top of the mornin’ to ya Dublin. Drink some Guinness and chase some leprechauns in Ireland’s capital for just £17 flights! Make sure to take a look around the beautiful Trinity College and visit the Guinness factory, to see how their famous drink is made!  Or, why not stroll through the district of Temple Bar and flirt with beautiful Irish men?! If you want to venture a bit further out of Dublin, just a train ride away is the magical Malahide Castle, which is well worth the visit!

Italy

Visit one of the Fashion Capitals of the world from just £18! Known for its fashion influence, Milan is one of the best places to go if you love shopping and amazing Italian products. But, if you’re looking for something a bit more cultural then make your way over to the beautiful Duomo di Milano and get your cardio in by walking up the 919 steps to get to the rooftop, for incredible views over the city, (or take the lift). The square and Duomo is also a great place for photographers as the architecture is beautiful! And what a better way to treat yourself from all that cardio than with a delicious Italian gelato!?

Spain

Wanna chill on a beach and sip on cocktails while watching the sun go down- who doesn’t? Get yourself to the island of Lanzarote from just £19! Year round sun means that you can scuba and snorkel to your hearts’ content. But if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, why not do some cliff walking or take a tour through the inside if a volcano at Cueva de los Verdes.

Germany

Sip on some famous German ‘bier’ in Berlin, with return flights from just £20. Why not visit the famous Reichstag Building and the Holocaust Memorial Museum for an eye-opening and humbling experience. But if it’s food you have in mind, then why not have a lovely dinner at the top of the Berlin TV Tower, or take a food tour by bike around the city? Sounds pretty good to me.

Greece

Surprisingly, to get to one of Greece’s most popular islands, Corfu, it can cost as little as £30! Swim at one of the many beautiful beaches or maybe take a trip into the Old Town to get your culture fix. Or if you want to take in the landscape while working on your fitness, try the Corfu Trail, an eight to ten day trek! And then you can reward yourself with a delicious ‘Gyro,’ or authentic kebab as I like to call it. Greek food is the best!

Croatia

Visit the Dalmation Coast from just £32, where you can fly to Zadar. Don’t forget to pack your trainers, as you can take a day trip to one of the many beautiful National Parks of Croatia. The waterfall haven of Plivice Lakes is a must-see! Or hop on a boat and cruise to the stunning islets of the Kornati National Park. I recommend swimming in the salt-lakes. But, if you just want to stay in Zadar, then don’t forget to check out the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation.

Hungary

If you love a good thermal bath and cheap alcohol, why not visit Budapest, with return flights from £34. Due to it being the cheapest place in Europe to buy alcohol, it is no doubt that Budapest is crawling with hen parties, stag-dos, and students. For just over a pound you can buy a bottle of beer and in some places a glass of wine is as little as 90p! But other than the alcohol they have some awesome bars in original architectural ruins – I would definitely recommend Szimpla Kert for a fun night out, with everything from foosball to shisha!
