It seems like literally everyone is talking about protein these days- it’s the holy grail for gym goers and foodie fanatics. Why? Swap out your Cheerios and Wheatabix for something a little more hearty. Bonus: eggs will fill you up, and see you right through til’ lunch.

Make sure you pick the right cheese, e.g. cheddar, and it can be a protein-rich snack to have throughout the day. It’s better than a bag of crisps for you but tastes just as good. Plus, despite common fatty conceptions of cheese, it might actually help your heart out. Try it with some healthy crackers, or you know, nibble on a block- whatever tickles your fancy.
Almonds are one of the healthiest foods you can eat and are also one of the best protein sources in terms of nuts. Try sprinkling a few tablespoons over salads, yoghurts, oatmeal or pasta to add some much-needed protein to your regular food. It’ll add some flavour too.
