Do you wish you could manage your time better ? Work more effectively & avoid wasting your time or spending way too much time on something that should take you less ? Here are 10 best time management tips to know about.

1. Get a planning board to write on

I would advise getting one of those boards you can write on, or a planner which you can now find in any furniture stores ( Paperchase, WHsmith,Raymans..). They’re super easy to use, can be put on your fridge or wall & will remind you of your next interview or meet up with a friend.

2. Set a digital calendar

If you’re easily forgetful, you could as well use your phone as a calendar. Since it’s an available feature, you just need to enter details on the set date & time and you’re good to go. For those who are extra forgetful and have memory problems, it would be good to do both manual and digital just in case you forget to check your planner or don’t get a notification on your phone.

3. Keep Deadlines in mind

Put priorities first in your mind & calendars- If you have a deadline for an essay, or have to finish some work before a certain date, don’t delay it or procrastinate. Better be safe than sorry. No one likes to be rushed at the last minute, even if you’re the queen/king of it.

4. Turn off your phone while working/busy

If you’re finishing up a project or need to write an essay in a limited time, you don’t want to be distracted and it’s very easy these days with Phone notifications always ringing or flashing. You can easily turn them off for a certain period of time if you need some peace to focus on your work to get done.

The saying says it well-If you want to get as much done during the week, then wake up early everyday, i’m not dying 4-5am but a normal early hour at which you have time to have breakfast and start some work. 6. Get your coffee & nutrients for the day

Managing also has to do with your mind, and your mind cannot run without the proper nutrients & energisers such as coffee or tea or whatever works for you- Eating well plays a bit part in managing your time well. If you don’t think you need this, then lucky you but a proper diet is essential.

7. Balance is important too

Managing your time is knowing when to finish your priority work first and then enjoying what you like most- leisure time. It’s as important as work. Balance is key for a healthy and productive lifestyle of a working person.

If you’re unsure about something, just take some risks. Sometimes fear keeps up from doing things we want to do and that could benefit us greatly in the future. You live & you learn, but don’t hesitate to take risks- Join that club you always wanted to try, Go meet new people, broaden your social circle. The things you fear could be what helps you in the near future, so be bold & be brave. Act, don’t wait.

9. Take Breaks

Don’t forget to give yourself some breaks, between long work hours and lengthy essay writings. If you rush it, you might not get the work done properly, and if you procrastinate it does the same effect. Your breaks are essential and will help you manage your time & do your work the best you can.

10. Don’t stress the small things

If you feel like you’re stressing for nothing, it’s probably nothing. Do your best without pushing yourself to your limits, it’s no good for your work or for your health. And these time management tips depend on your patience & ability to keep cool in any circumstance.

Managing your time depends a lot on who you are, organised or messy- patient or impatient -Motivated or lazy. In the end, it’s all mental and if you want something to be done you will achieve it with perseverance. It’s not as hard as it seems.
