The Best Things To Do In Cardiff

Cardiff doesn’t have to just be a day of shopping and looking round the castle. Although St David’s Arcade may be never ending, and I could definitely spend a whole day and all my money in the shops, Cardiff does have some hidden wonders that could make your trip a little more memorable and exciting. If you’re looking for an adult friendly fun day out, then I would definitely recommend checking out a few of these things below.

1. Treetop Adventure Golf

If you need a break from shopping, then this will be the ideal place to spend it. Located in one of the main arcades this crazy golf course has two different courses. Whether, you’re with a group of friends or in a couple this is bound to be a fun day out. At the end of each course you also get the chance to win a free game, so be sure to give that a go and take your time! It’s definitely worth it. As well as this, they also do food and drinks so if you fancy a quick bite between games then have a look at their menu. Especially their pizza!

2. Amdani Fitertainment Park

Always wanted to have a go at a ninja warrior course? The look no further. This indoor park is perfect for children and adults with their adult only sessions for those a little older that still want to have fun. The park is ideal for groups who want to work together to complete the course or battle each other in the laser tag arena. However, if you’re only in a pair then don’t fear as you definitely don’t need a group to have a go, even in laser tag, you can simply be put with another small team and you’re ready to go!

3. Trampoline Park

Another option for those looking for a bit of fun in Cardiff is the indoor trampoline park. This is perfect for all ages and for anyone looking to let off some steam. However, if you don’t want to be around a group of kids, then head here ‘after dark’ when they hold adult only sessions with throwback songs and disco lights. To me this sounds like the ideal way to spend an evening or start a night out, without the company of children getting in the way. Check it out!

4. Escape Rooms

Cardiff has plenty of Escape rooms to choose from so you’re sure to find the perfect one for you. These are great for any groups looking for a few hours of fun and team work, or even stag/hen parties who are looking for something to do before they hit the town! So, if you fancy something less energetic but just as intense then this is the perfect place for you and is open throughout the day so feel free to pop in between looking round the shops or after a bite to eat.

5. Jacob’s Market

However, if none of the above appeal to you, and you’re looking for a day of exploration instead of activity then this will be perfect for you. This has quickly become one of my favourite places to look around in Cardiff as it is so different from the usual shops you’ll find in the city. Here, there is a number of sellers within the four-story building, all selling different vintage and quirky items. It ranges from comic books, to fossils, to old suitcases and old coins. There is a bit of everything in here and is definitely not a place to be missed.
