Recently I ventured to South America for the first time and I loved it! I travelled to Brazil. This was an awesome adventure and I was lucky enough to check out a huge range of activities and beautiful sites in a few different locations. So, I thought I would share some of them with you. They mainly include beautiful places to see, perfect and picturesque. But, they also include some things to eat and famous locations. Here are some of the best things to do in Brazil based on my own experience. If you are planning a trip make sure you try and check out at least a few of these ideas, you won’t be disappointed!
This awesome coastal city was once the capital of Brazil. It may surprise you to know that Rio isn’t the capital any longer. The city however remains a hustling and bustling vibrant location that is super stunning. This is because of the diverse landscape that includes; mountain ranges and gorgeous beaches. One beach to check out specifically is the famous Copacabana beach. There is lots to do in the city, check out some of these places to visit in Rio.
You can see this awesome monument from nearly everywhere in Rio. The monument resembles Christ the Redeemer with his arms outstretched. Almost like he is trying to encompass the whole of the city. You take this awesome vertical train up the side of the mountain. This is a great way to begin to see the city from above. The views and the monument are definitely worth taking the train up the mountain to see. It really is glorious to behold.
These famous mountains are another must see. They are also another really cool viewing spot in Rio. You get to take multiple cable cars to the top of the mountain and see an amazing shot of the bays surrounding Rio. I think there are few better places for such an exquisite view. You can wave hello to Christ the Redeemer again too.
This is a rain forest in Rio De Janeiro. That’s right, a rain forest in the city. This is another beautiful place to visit. There are some stunning views of waterfalls. There are also a variety of animals to see, such as a few different breeds of monkeys.
The Rio de Janeiro Cathedral is incredible. I won’t spoil the surprise. But you should really really really go check this out. You won’t regret it.
You can get up close and personal with these waterfalls shared between Brazil and Argentina. You can even cross the border and see them from the Argentinian side. There are walk ways built close to the waterfalls let you experience the full strength and sounds of the rushing water. Stunning. This is one of the best things to do in Brazil!
A smaller resort on a horse-shoe coast line. This has a variety of gorgeous and sun sets every evening. I don’t know why but they were always so different. The colour of the sky was so beautiful. And, you could actually see the planet Mars in the sky! This amazed me. You could see Mars from quite a few locations in Brazil. I didn’t even think that was possible. Buzios, the place itself, has a range of cute restaurants. You have to check out the seafood that is freshly caught by local fishermen every day.
Speaking of food… it would be rude to leave out this delicious dish. A stew of beans and pork or beef. A must try in Brazil.
These are just some ideas and places to try for a trip to Brazil based on my own experiences. I hope they can inspire you with some ideas of things to do in Brazil!
