Curves and hourglass figures are the biggest new trend right now which means people are starting to be more accepting of different body shapes, however the same can’t be said for most online and high street stores. If you’re curvy and need clothes which are a bit bigger than the average sizes then you probably found it hard to shop for clothes a few years ago when the only plus size clothes were for people over 40. But a few more stores have started a whole curves section or added more sizes to their original collections, here are a few of the best stores for curvy women:
New Look is one of our favorite high street brands because they have the latest fashion clothes are are super affordable and one of the best stores for curvy women! New Look have a whole Curves and Plus Sizes section which you can find online and if you go to a bigger store they usually have a section there too. In store the Womenswear usually goes up to a size 18, in Womenswear Tall it’s 20 and in Curves its 32. This is one of the highest sizes in most stores overall. But bare in mind that not all clothes go up to a size 32, most stop at 28.
Asos is another amazing brand we all love which have a whole Curves and Plus Sizes section, these sizes go up to a size 30. Asos Curves have some of our favorite brands like Asos White, Boohoo, Asos Design and more. This is the perfect place to get trendy clothes if you’re a curvy woman.
I’ll admit the size range for Primark stores for curvy women isn’t as huge as New Look or Asos but the clothes in Primark are very affordable so I have to mention it. The size range in Primark goes up to a size 24 which is a 2XL, they don’t specifically call it plus sizes or curves, the sizes are on their normal clothes. And I mean you can’t go wrong for a t-shirt which is only £3, so Primark is a great place to shop.
River Island have also followed the plus size trend by having their own plus size clothing stores for curvy women which range which goes up to a size 28. They have clothes ranging from shirts to bikini bottoms and biker jackets to pencil skirts, you can find all you need from River Island if you’re a curvy woman.
Pretty Little Thing is an online store which also sell plus size clothes, their main clothing line goes up to a size 20 which is XL and their plus sized clothes are from a size 16 to a size 26. This again isn’t as high as New Look or Asos but their clothes are crazy cheap like Primarks, you can get a slogan t-shirt on sale for just £4! It’s worth checking Pretty Little Thing out for affordable and stylish clothes.
Boohoo were praised for being the first to stop editing out the models stretch marks and this has had a positive effect on everyone, they also have an amazing plus size range. Their womenswear range goes up to a size 18 which is XL and their plus sizes go up to a size 28. You can get a dress for just £5 from Boohoo so go check out their plus size collection. The only bad thing I have to say is that most of the models modelling the plus size clothes aren’t really plus size.
