8 The Best Brunch Spots In London For Your Summer Weekends

You can never go wrong with good food and good company so grabbing brunch with friends can be the perfect plan for your weekends this summer. Be sure to hit up these 8 brunch spots- some of the best that London has to offer!

1. The Quince Tree

This hidden gem is tucked away between houses in Warwick Avenue and provides a light, fresh and airy backdrop for your brunch which is also mirrored in its menu. Expect fresh and healthy food from this café oasis whilst being surrounded by greenery. The café doubles as a garden centre, creating a calm atmosphere you never would’ve expected to find in the heart of London.

2. Dalloway Terrace

Enjoy a breezy brunch in Dalloway Terrace’s flower-filled outdoor dining terrace which is nothing short of picture perfect. In the heart of Bloomsbury, this restaurant offers the classic brunch options but with sumptuous twists. For example, croque-madame shaved with black truffle and Dorset crab on toast, making it a great brunch spot for special occasions alfresco style.

3. The Ivy

The Ivy Collection has sprinkled London with a number of brasseries and cafés for you to take your pick renowned for their excellence and elegance in their service and food, all upmarket of course. The Covent Garden restaurant location, in particular, is a great spot for brunch in central London right by the piazza.

4. Eggbreak

Found in Notting Hill, this all-day kitchen with a keen focus on eggs (obviously) is a no-brainer brunch spot in London. As expected, the menu lists a number of egg-based dishes ranging from shakshuka, Levantine eggs and a Mexican omelet with some egg free dishes too such as their house granola or coconut chia pot. Be sure to come early as they don’t take reservations and tend to accumulate lines on the weekend.

5. Farm Girl Cafe

Get your Insta-feed ready because this one’s a comer. Tucked on Portobello Road is a pink haven dishing up holistic and innovative dishes to make for an interesting brunch with their coconut BLT sandwich being a particular hit as a vegan alternative, not to mention most dishes and drinks are sprinkled with edible flowers. A feast for the eyes and the stomach.

6. Balthazar

Upon entering this brunch spot you will feel immediately as if you’ve been transported to a mix of an authentic bustling brasserie in France with New York art-deco restaurant buzz. Balthazar, with its soaring ceilings, chequered floors and antique stained mirrors screams classic. The food matches in impressiveness with its decor. You can expect classic French brasserie and bistro dishes all made with the best quality of ingredients and traditional methods.

7. The Wolsley

The Wolsley is nothing if not grand. Think caviar omelets. It’s safe to say that it’s become a London institution with a reputation few can beat, and for good reason. Technically not a true brunch spot considering they serve breakfast until 11:30am, however, their traditional European breakfasts are so renowned for its excellence that The Wolsley was still in need of a mention. From a simple caramelised pink grapefruit to their haggis and duck egg, this is a truly an elite brunch spot (sort of).

8. Duck and Waffle

On the 40th floor of the Heron Tower is perched Duck and Waffle which provides not only adventurous takes on British classics but a killer view to along too. In every essence of the term, it is truly a dining experience. Among their menu are BBQ spiced pig ears, a spicy ox check doughnut and of course duck and waffle for those with an adventurous spirit. They also offer some brunch classics such as eggs on sourdough toast, smoked salmon royale and caramelised banana Belgian waffles. With this foodie hotspot being open 24 hours, you can enjoy any of these dishes and more at any given time within Duck and Waffle floor-to-ceiling windows. I recommend coming just before dawn to watch the sunrise over the city as you enjoy some of the best food London has to offer.
