The Best Bras For Your Breast Type

It’s probably safe to say that the majority of the time when you go bra shopping, you simply pick up the best bras that look appealing to you. While this is the age-old routine that most of us girls stick to throughout our lives, have you ever wondered what the best bras are for your particular breast shape? If not, now is the time to start! Choosing the best bras for your breast shape will not only enhance the appearance of your breasts and make them look the best that they can look, it will also help them to be supported well.  To help you on your quest to choose the recommended bra type for your breasts, here are the best bras for your breast type!

Round

The Round breast shape is generally seen as the most ‘desirable’ (although all breast shapes are awesome!), as the round breast shape is well balanced, as it is full at the top and the bottom, giving your breasts a perky, round appearance.

For this breast shape, any bra will do, although, it might be nice to choose a classic shape such as the T-Shirt bra, to simultaneously support and show off your assets!

Side Set

With this breast type, the breasts point outwards in opposite directions, leaving a gap in between.

This breast shape requires some shaping, to regroup the breasts in the centre of the chest. The perfect bra for this is a T-Shirt bra, as they give the support that is required, while leaving some of the breast uncovered, giving you comfort and freedom.

Get the look:

Athletic

This breast shape boasts more muscle and less tissue, giving them a wide, ‘athletic’ appearance – hence the name.

This breast shape would benefit from a balcony bra, which will cater to the width of your breasts in a flattering way; allowing your breasts to peep through the top of the bra, without being fully exposed.

Get the look:

Relaxed

As the name suggests, breasts in this category typically have lax tissue, making the breasts appear relaxed, and the nipples point downward.

An underwire or push up bra would help this type of breast to feel more lifted and supported, while enhancing cleavage.

Get the look:

Asymmetric

Although you may think this is an odd breast shape, it is a lot more common than you may think! Like eyebrows, your breasts can often be sisters, not twins. Asymmetric breasts do not look perfectly alike; they may be two slightly different sizes.

Padded bras would be a good choice for this bra type, as the padding would even out the appearance of the breasts, making them look more uniform.

Get the look:

Bell

Bell-shaped breasts are beautifully voluptuous at the bottom, and thinner towards the top, hence why they resemble the shape of a bell.

A full coverage or underwire bra would be best for this breast, as this will push the breasts up, giving them support and a rounded, lifted appearance.

Tear Drop

This breast type is somewhere in between the round shape and the bell shape. It is round, yet not as perky, and instead forms a slight bell shape towards the bottom.

As this breast shape is a beautiful hybrid of round and bell, you could use a combination of bras. depending on what shape and aesthetic your prefer; opt for a full coverage bra for some lifting action, or a plunge bra if you’re feeling free!

Get the look:

Petite

Last but certainly not least, is the petite breast type. This is not really a shape, as petite breasts come in all different shapes, from round to the bell.

For petite breasts, plunge bras are best, as they push up and expose some of the breasts, making them appear fuller and more prominent.

So, there you have it – the best bras for your breast type! Ultimately, there are no rules; while it’s fun to experiment, you can opt for whatever type of bra you like, depending on your own preferences!
