10 Spring Dress Styles To Flaunt This Season

Spring is right around the corner. With the warming weather, we welcome the opportunity to dress freely once again and not have to wrap up our entire body so that we’re nice and warm. There are so many spring dress styles to try, from flowing maxi dresses decorated with floral patterns to the timeless lace outfits and little black dresses. Here are ten dress styles that you need to try out next season.

1. Ruffled off-the-shoulder dress

The off-the-shoulder dress has been a spring and summer favourite the past few years and it looks like it’ll be back for 2019. The ruffles create a flattering look and silhouette but also make sure to get a dress that’s cinched at the waist with an elastic or belt (or use your own). This shows off your curves and makes sure that your figure doesn’t get lost in all the fabric. Vibrant colours are perfect for spring and this dress style looks amazing in bright colours like yellow, red and blue.

2. Black floral dress

A black floral dress is a popular choice when it comes to spring dress styles. Whether it lace, cotton, mini or maxi, the charm of this black dress is how the floral details pop out. The black base really lets the colours jump out, making it a spring-inspired dress despite the dark colours.

3. Ribbed knit dress

A ribbed knit dress is a great outfit to wear during the transition from winter to spring. It’s cosy and will keep you warm in the earlier month and if it’s a bit chilly then just throw on a pair of tights. Once it starts warming up you can ditch the layers all together and stroll around outside in your knit dress.

4. A polka-dot wrap

There’s something about polka-dots that create such a happy and carefree atmosphere and that’s exactly what we need for spring. As the days get warmer, anticipate outdoor hangouts and meetups. A polka-dot wrap dress is perfect for going out and having fun. It’s flowy at the bottom but you still keep your figure thanks to the belt wrapping around your waist.

A white lace dress is an outfit fitting for spring. The material is light, flowy and lets your body breathe. It can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories and items you pair with it, and it’s perfect for any spring outing.

6. The timeless LBD

The little black dress is a fashion staple that every woman needs in her wardrobe. They’re easy to style in any season and spring is no exception. If black is too dark for your spring mood then add colour through accessories and other clothing items. Black literally goes with everything which makes your job so much easier.

7. The slip dress and t-shirt combo

The slip and t-shirt combo is an outfit that works well in so many ways. The t-shirt adds an extra layer in case it’s cold outside. It adds some fabric if you’re not a fan of revealing outfits. The slip dress takes what would be a casual outfit, and turns it into something that’s chic and dressed-up. You can use slip dresses that are other colours or have different designs, perfect for fun mixing and matching, but the black dress and white top is a classic pair that works every time.

8. A flowy floral maxi

A flowy maxi dress may seem a little extra, but that’s the whole point. Despite the modest and simple design, a white maxi dress with floral patterns is super feminine and a guaranteed show stopper. If you want to stand out then this dress style will do the trick. Floor length dresses often elongate your figure too, making you appear taller.

9. Vertically striped midi

Striped dresses may appear simple but that’s part of the charm, and despite the minimal design they still look beautiful. It’s a great option if you don’t want a plain dress and if you’re also not a fan of bright and bold outfits. Just like maxi dresses, vertical stripes actually give the illusion that you’re taller. If you want to “add” a few inches then go for this style.

10. A gingham bodycon

Finally, we have a bodycon dress with a gingham pattern. Not all spring dress styles have to be free-flowing and loose, so here’s a figure-hugging look that lets you show off your curves and body. The gingham pattern is also extremely flattering on the body as it accentuates any curves. It’s the perfect spring outfit to wear out on a date or trip and actually gives a “picnic” vibe which works with the season.
