Spring is an absolutely beautiful time of year, and perfect for reflecting upon what is new and fresh. Upon completing your annual spring-clean and declutter, it’s probably also time to refresh your apartment with some new on-trend home decor. Here are some of the best trends for 2018 spring apartment decor that is perfect for this season, but will also last you well into the long summer months.

The Botanist Decor Collection

Bold palm leaf and tropical patterns are set to be on-trend features of your home decor this year. This new Spring 2018 collection of Botanist-themed home decor by B&Q is perfect for redecorating your apartment this Spring with a focus on strong natural colours and nature. We are totally obsessing over this yellow fan leaf print cushion and these gold pineapple bookends. You can compliment this decor by filling your space with some real house plants.

The 2018 Fusion collection by John Lewis is the perfect range of home decor if you are looking to give your apartment a luxury makeover this Spring. This collection has a lot of boho vibes: warm colours, strong textiles and traditional patterns. Inspired by global travel and culture, these luxury pieces will definitely bring the world into the comfort of your living room. We are loving this gold Morrocan-inspired lantern and this decorative throw with beautiful pom-pom edging.

Søstrene Grene Spring Catalogue

This catalogue by Søstrene Grene is the perfect Spring home decor inspiration! This catalogue highlights this season’s Spring decor as having muted, soft colours with statement pieces, such as this wicker basket or gold frame mirror. Adding bright florals to your apartment will contrast with the muted colours of your other home decor and makes the perfect spring centerpiece.

Accent Colours and Patterns

Ikea is always our trusty friend when it comes to home decor advice. This spring, Ikea recommends choosing an accent colour to brighten up your living space. Yellow is a perfect colour for Spring, inspired by Spring flowers such as daffodils and primrose. Alternatively, you could also have fun with statement prints and patterns to make your apartment more uplifted and fun this Spring. They recommend to go for prints that share at least one shade, such as black and white, before adding in two to three brights. We are particularly obsessing over these printed posters and this grey geometric vase. This spring apartment decor definitely adds a kick of colour to your space.

Etsy’s Trend Guide compiles the hottest trends by  working out some of the top searches within the home decor category on Etsy.com. Home decor trends for spring this year feature a lot of personality, with muted and natural colours and quirky prints. We are obsessed with these amazing little plant pots with faces, made by AtelierStellaCeramic. Also on-trend according to Etsy this spring is industrial-chic decor, with over 250,000 searches for “industrial” decor on the site since the start of the year as of April. To achieve this look, aim for concrete pieces or lamps with exposed bulbs.
